Question about AT&T CL2909 1-Line Corded Phone

1 Answer

Numeric and Speed-Dial Keys Don't Work All of a sudden (between calls) the numeric and speed-dial keys on my AT&T CL2909 speakerphone stopped working. When I push them, they register on the LCD screen, but no signal seems to get through to the line because I can still hear the dialtone. I can still receive calls, but can't place outgoing calls. At AT&T tech support suggestion, I changed the batteries (4xAA) and reset the phone by disconnecting the line input for at least a minute. Neither resolved the problem.

Hello,

You phone is having a hardware problem, this is why the phone is malfunction. Resetting won't solve this issue. Your phone is defective and this is not a fault you can fix on your on because it involves disassembling the phone and reading the panel with a ohms meter.

It is so unfortunate, but I would suggest you take the phone to a local repairman within your area or buy another phone.

Take care.

I need to send 1 fax to several recepts

You can send a fax to up to 142 fax numbers, using any combination of dialing methods:
- One-touch Speed Dialing (up to 32 destinations)
Press the desired One-Touch Speed dial button(s)
- Coded Speed Dialing (up to 100 destinations)
Press [Coded Dial] > enter the 2 digit code (00-99) using the numeric buttons and be sure to press [Coded Dial] before each code
- Regular dialing and redialing (10 destinations)
Enter the number using the numeric buttons or [Redial/Pause] and be sure to press [Set] after each entry with the numeric keys

After all the numbers are listed, press [Start]. The machine will scan in the document (memory) and then begin sending it to the destinations in numerical order, starting with One-Touch, then Coded and finally the numbers dials with the numeric keys.

You can also create a group if you frequently send faxes to the same group of people by first saving them as One-Touch and then adding them to a new group.

How to set speed dail?????

1. Go to phonebook.
2. From the drop down menu at top-right side of the screen, select 'Favourites'.
3. This should open up the list of keys from 2-9. Tap on any one of the digits and assign a contact to that number. 1 is reserved for voicemail so you cant assign it to any contact. Your speed dial is now set.
4. To speed-dial, go to the numeric keypad from the main menu, and keep the key pressed for a longer duration. ( for example, number 3)

Group code

I believe what you want is at the bottom of this list.

If you frequently send faxes to the same group of telephone numbers, you can assign these numbers to a group.
Only Speed Dial and One Touch numbers can be assigned to a group. A maximum of 25 Group Numbers (WorkCentre Pro555) / 50 Group Numbers (WorkCentre Pro575) can be assigned (in the range 1-1999). Preset group numbers can also be used for polling.
The following information is included below:
  • Create a new group
  • Add numbers to an existing group
  • Delete numbers from an existing group
