Unless you have a lens collimator and other equipment required to ensure proper alignment when you disassemble and then reassemble the lens, you'll have to pay to replace or repair your lens after you attempt it.
Do you have a spare USB keyboard you could try using? If an external keyboard works just fine - but the actual keyboard on the laptop does not respond at all - it is likely that the keyboard has failed.
If you are comfortable taking your laptop apart, you can try to unplug the keyboard and plug it back into the connection point on the laptop. DO NOT TRY THIS UNLESS YOU ARE 100% COMFORTABLE WITH REMOVING THE LAPTOP KEYBOARD.
If you can get the keyboard to work by reseating the connection then that is awesome! However, the problem with laptop keyboards is that there isn't a solid way to tell if the keyboard is bad, or if the motherboard connection for the keyboard is bad. The only way to know for sure is to pay to have the keyboard replaced. If that fixes it, then that is great! But - if paying to get the keyboard replaced doesn't fix the computer, then you will be looking at an expensive motherboard repair.
If an external USB keyboard does work, it may be a temporary solution until you are ready to have a certified technician replace the built in keyboard.

it will just come right back on unless the error is fixed. if you do not want to pay to get it fixed pound an ice pick through the light and knock it out forever. it is telling you something is wrong.
if you run a very high temperature, do not contact a medical professional, just throw away the thermometer so you won't know your termperature and you can't be sick anymore. same thinking.
I had the same problem with my car, it was only the heater selection switch though. It is the actuator cable. The cable itself only costs $20 but you have to pay someone to fix it unless you know how to tear your whole dash apart and put it back together.
