Check for a blown fuse in the power supply.Should be a fuse compartment near the voltage selector switch.

Unplug pc before doing this.

If not then your going to need to have the power supply checked.

Where is neutral safety switch on 05 GMc envoy Denali

The transmission range (TR) switch is part of the park/neutral position (PNP) and backup lamp switch assembly, which is externally mounted on the transmission manual shaft. The TR switch contains four internal switches that indicate the transmission gear range selector lever position. The powertrain control module (PCM) supplies ignition voltage to each switch circuit. As the gear range selector lever is moved, the state of each switch may change, causing the circuit to open or close. An open circuit or switch indicates a high voltage signal. A closed circuit or switch indicates a low voltage signal. The PCM detects the selected gear range by deciphering the combination of the voltage signals. The PCM compares the actual voltage combination of the switch signals to a TR switch combination chart stored in memory.

Can't find the ignition relay for a 2000 Mitsubishi diamonte. Turn the key and absolutely nothing happens no sounds or anything . How

Battery good , cables and connections ? Voltage drop test starting circuit . Find a wiring diagram at http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Your vehicle has no relay ! Try wiggling the gear selector from park to neutral . Check B+ voltage at the park neutral safety switch . When you turn key to start B+ voltage goes to the neutral safety switch , if switch is good ,B+ voltage goes through the switch if in park or neutral to the solenoid on the starter . IF all is good starter energizes and spins the engine over . Starter Voltage Drop If you can't fix it with this info , your best bet have it towed to a qualified repair shop .

My 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee wont start sometimes, but if I put it in neutral then try to start it..It starts .. What is the problem with my baby.......

Test/Service/Replace

The circuit on newer cars with automatic transmissions has a neutral safety, or neutral start switch installed between the ignition switch and the starter. The ignition switch cannot operate the starter motor unless the transmission is in park or neutral.
Late model vehicles with manual transmissions have a starter/clutch interlock switch that requires the clutch to be depressed to the floor.
Neutral Safety Switch
Normal operations of a neutral safety switch provides a quick check for the adjustment of the gear selector linkage.
  • To do this, move the selector slowly until it clicks into the PARK position.
  • Turn the ignition key to the START position.
  • If the starter operates, the PARK position is correct.
  • After checking the PARK position, move the lever slowly toward the NEUTRAL position until the lever drops at the end of the NEUTRAL stop in the selector gate.
  • If the starter also operates at this point, the gearshift linkage is properly adjusted.
  • This quick test also tests the adjustment of the neutral safety switch.
  • If the engine does not start in either or both of these positions, the neutral safety switch or the gear selector linkage needs adjustment or repair.

CAUTION
Since you must work under the vehicle to adjust most shift linkages make sure you properly raise and support the vehicle before working under it. Also, wear safety glasses or goggles while working under the vehicle.
A voltmeter can be used to check the switch for voltage when the ignition key is turned to the START position with the shift lever in PARK or NEUTRAL. If there is no voltage, the switch should be adjusted or replaced.

Wiper motor only works on high. I changed the motor, but it still does the same thing.

Hi,
I do not believe the selector switch has a replaceable resistor for speed selection. You can try turning your switch to low speed and testing for voltage signal at the wiper motor. If no voltage, turn to high. If voltage, either bad switch or broken wire in harness. Tilt steering wheel up and down with wiper speed on low. If you get any wiper movement, probably broken / shorted wire in steering column. If not, bad multi function selector switch. Switch is in the $200 range plus labor to replace.
If replacing your self, caution must be used to disconnect the battery and pull the air bag fuse, as steering wheel and air bag assembly must be removed in process and you do not want the air bag to accidently deploy. A great step by step video for replacement is here:

Please reply and let us know how you come out! Thanks, Mike

I forgot to remove input power supply of etower. Whilst emachines etower power supply was still on, i accidently moved the voltage selection switch to a higher voltage. There was big bang and fire happend...

Hi, First, check your power supply fuse for damage and switch the power to standard. Disconnect power supply output port and check your output voltage. If nothing abnormal, turn off power supply, connect the output and turn it on to check the power on your PC

How do i switch the Hz setting on the monitor

Usually, if there is a selector switch to match electrical requirements of a monitor or computer to that which may be available in the home, it is for voltage or voltage AND frequency. Seldom is there are selector for frequency only (I've yet to see one anyway).

The selector switch it typically found near where the AC mains power cord enters the enclosure. This can be on the monitor itself - or in the case of a monitor that uses a low voltage cable and connector connected to a power adapter, it would be located on the power adapter instead. Sometimes, these devices automatically detect and switch to match the power being supplied to it. The device should clearly indicate that it will work a wide range of voltages - do not assume it will if it does not specifically indicate that it will.

4637d9d.jpg

The selector above is set to 230 volts.

Set the selector switch BEFORE connecting to the power outlet. Most times, the selector switch has the voltage indicated on the slide. The switch will allow the user to choose 110-120 or 220-240 volts. The 110/120 selection is likely to be the 60 Hz variety and the 220/240 selection is likely to be 50 Hz.

If you are unable to locate such a switch, the device is not intended to be changed by the user - and there is likely no "easy way" for the user to change it.

Please rate this reply - good luck!

It powers off immediately when I turn it on

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described it seems the fault is in the voltage selector rotary switch, it’s the round voltage selector switch not the other one, because you'll notice that there are 2 voltage selector switches at the back. The lock might be broken so you couldn't switch the primary terminals of the main transformer. In other words this amp has 2 power transformers, the small standby transformer and the large main transformer. Try to press that round switch and press the front panel power switch. If it goes ON, then fix the center lock of that round switch. If not then you might have to replace the switch.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Shut door oven stays on. hit hard on left side it goes off

When door is closed, it activates 2 or 3 door limit switches depending on design .By bumping door hard, one of the limits are disrupted. that switches off the micro.(you are lucky by default because if wrong limit is switched accidently there could be a very loud bang.).
Pull plug out and remove cover. look for limit switches situated near door latch. Try and adjust limits to make a better contact on the door latches. Please note voltages very high on power side even though switched off. Just work at the door area.

Air not working

The first thing to check is incoming 120VAC power to the unit. This voltage must be 115Volts domestic USA with no less than -10% allowable. If your voltage is below this point, the unit will not work. If your voltage is ok, check the thermostat or selector switch. Make sure that the thermostat (if wall mounted) has 12VDC running to it. If it does not, fix that problem first. If it is manual control, check the selector switch for ok. You should have incoming 120VAC power to the switch and when the High/Cool is selected, check the following.

Terminals LI and C, and L1 and 1 should have continuity. If not, replace selector switch.

Hope this helps,

Jeff
