Hi britchel07,
I see that you are having issue booting into windows on your system.
I can help you with your concern, we can first try to boot into the Hard drive manually, follow the steps below,
1. Power your computer ON then keep on tapping the F12 key on top the keyboard until you get the Boot Menu screen,
2. On the Boot Menu screen select the Hard drive it maybe listed as SATA or HDD, but if it is not listed then we may need to try a different option, on the Boot Menu the Hard Drive should be the first one on the list.
3. Highlight the Hard Drive on the list then press Enter to make your computer boot into the Hard Drive.
if this does not work then your Hard Drive may not be detected by the machine, why I really can't tell there are many possible causes, but we can try other options to see if this can be rectified.
I believe that you have a Desktop machine, we will need to open up the tower to check if there are lose cables inside from the Hard Drive to your systems Motherboard, inside you should see a Flat Orange like red colored cable sometimes Blue that should be your SATA cable going to your Hard Drive from the Motherboard, try reseating the SATA cable to make sure it is properly connected and also check the SATA power cable just to be surem it should also be a black flat cable connected to the Hard drive just right nest to the SATA cable, after reseating the two cables try turning the computer ON again and see if the system will boot into Windows.
If still you get the Error no boot device found then you may need to get a new Hard Drive for your system.
I hope that this will be helpful with your concern, Have a nice day.

Hello britchel07, a "No Boot Device" means that the device that hold the

[Master Boot Record], is not available because, "the device hasn't been selected to boot the computer?"

If you want the computer to "Boot into Vista;" then you have to choose the device that has the

Boot File.

The device can be the "Hard Disk Drive / HDD, Optical Drive / CD or DVD Drive.

It can even be a Flash Disk Drive / USB."

I'm assuming that you now have a Dual Boot OS.

If this is the case, then you need to "set-up Vista to boot from the correct device."

To "Boot into the "Vista OS."

Reboot / restart the Computer

Choose Vista, to load from the list.

! Before the loading begins, press the [F2] button.

You will open the Boot Menu / Boot Sequence window.

A list of devices will be listed: Optical Drive, and Hard-Disk Drive...

Put the drives in boot-up order, the one you want to boot from; at the top!

Use the Arrow keys to move the devices.

Try the (Hard Disk Drive) first!

After you have made the changes.

"Press the [F10] button to save it.

Reboot / restart the computer, select to boot into Vista from the list.

If everything is set-up correctly.

Then the computer should boot into Vista.

"Let me know if you need more help, if it didn't fix the problem.

Post a "Comment" to get more help.

"If it did help, I would appreciate it if you let me know."

Best Regards, PC Petey

Is it possible to install windows xp 2 when there is already windows 7 is installed.i want to install both os running in my dell vostro 1015 laptop,

Yes you will have to format your drive and remove partitions, then create new partitions and add a boot up option menu. Then when you power on your computer it will ask if you want to boot Windows 7, or Windows XP. You will have to have both copies of Windows also your restore partition can't do this.

I have a Dell desktop running Windows Vista. I cannot boot up to Windows. I have a black screen with cursor error message saying: boot device available, ta 0 installed, ta 1 installed, ta 2 none, ta 3...

That message says that the hard disk was found but nothing on it can be used - Vista is completely corrupted. You will have to reinstall it using the recovery cd that came with it when you bought it.

Dell inspiron 531 with vista home premium, sata DVD/hdd, wont boot past bios screen, blinking cursor in top left corner. with nothing hooked up, says no boot devices available. i have tried each one solo,...

That blinking cursor is the way in which the BIOS is telling you that Windows or any other OS is missing . Since you are getting it without even an hdd connected it means that the southbridge is defective. Which means that the motherboard is dead, replace it.

Hi! you are actually having a no boot problem with your computer. it means your computer cant locate a bootable device( your harddrive) where the operating system is installed.you need to reseat the haerd drive cable that is connected to your motherboard and hard drive(do this if you know how if not ask somebody else to do this for you) this should fix your problem else you need to use an operating system disc(windows os / XP/Vista/windows 7) to boot from and to reinstall your operating system to your computer. warning: doing this will going to delete everything of what you have inside your harddrive.

When I boot into Windows Vista Premium nothing on screen

In Safe Mode, your monitor will not be listed as it is using a generic device driver for basic display. Go into your video settings and reset it to the lowest resolution available. Reboot the computer into Vista again and your display should be working. If you check Device Manager now, you should see your monitor listed. If it isn't, you will need to load the Vista drivers for it. You can then modify your display settings to suit your preferences.
