Are the bobbin winder rubber rings universal

Well, instead of going to all that trouble, why not buy an inexpensive bobbin winder? They're available on Amazon and eBay, as well as many other places, for about $25.00, and it's my opinion that they do a better job anyway.

How do i install a bobbin in a toyota rs2000 please

Your machine has a removable bobbin case and vertical rotary hook (front loading) so it is very alike to many other machines in that you insert the bobbin into the bobbin case in a clockwise direction, pull the thread into the tension spring on the case, then place the case into the front of the rotary hook while pulling out the little latch on the case, then release it to secure into the rotary hook. The latch usually goes into the "12" position on the rotary hook, there should be a little indentation for it.

If you go to this page https://sewing.aisin.com.au/upload/1255582851068_file_RS2000SD2D3D.pdf you can download Toyota RS2000 manual and full instructions and drawings are there about page 8.

If you go to www.sewing.about.com, http://sewing.about.com/od/sewingmachineindex/ss/windbobbin.htm there is lots of helpful sewing machine pages too, general threading up, trouble shooting and getting the right needle for the job. How you wind the bobbin is important and you need to put it into the bobbin case the right direction so the thread comes off the bobbin then reverses direction through the tension spring.

Great video on You tube too which should help you http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHl-j4pYx4I

visually its so much easier than trying to describe the steps. But once you've mastered a bobbin case and bobbin system, they are all very similar between makes and models.

Need bobbins

Bobbins are freely available in a variety of places. If you don't have a sewing specialty shop handy, there's always the internet. eBay is a good place to start. Also you could Google search for "bobbins (your brand and model of machine)" you should find some without any trouble. I live in Australia and have bought bobbins from the USA at very cheap prices and the postage costs were extremely small.

Bobbin trouble

Remove the needle plate for better access and try using a seam ripper to gently cut the threads and continue to remove with the tweezers.

The needle plate is the metal plate under the presser foot and is held into place with at least two screws.

The bobbin fits into the bobbin case.

The bobbin case fits into the bobbin shuttle.

Once you get the jam cleaned away, raise the needle to it's highest position and remove the bobbin case and/or replace the bobbin case.

Jamming can cause the machine to be out of time.

If you thead the machine with the presser foot up, have the bobbin inserted into the bobbin case correctly and the stiching is loose and loopy the machine may need to go into the shop for service.
