There may be two chances , I have the experience but it was resolved by the first one

1. You should full scan your PC with any good and Updated antivirus.

2. Also you should try to re-install your monitor drivers but check with the first one, the problem will get resolved definately.

SOURCE: I have a Samsung SyncMaster 933SN 18.5 monitor. Just goes black

I can not say for sure but the most likely culprit is one or more bad capacitors. This is a known issue with other Samsung monitors. My 930B recently had the same problem.
The only way to be sure is to disassemble the monitor and inspect the pcb (printed circuit board).
You are looking for caps with bulging tops.
Although it is not a difficult repair it does require experience repairing electronics.
I would wait until you can no longer use the monitor before attempting any repairs. At that point you have nothing to loss.
If you decide to try this repair and you wish for any help please let me know. I also included a link that provides some info on repair an LCD monitor.
Hope this helps and good luck.

Your resolution is set to high for the monitor to accept it. Go into control panel and click on Display then click on display setting and lower your resolution keep going lower until your monitor accepts the resolution size and your monitor should work for you.

I hope this helps you out any positive feedback to me would be greatly appreciated.Thank you

I have samsung syncmaster 933 monitor. It keeps blinking on and off. We have rebooted, unplugged and replugged all connects from pc to monitor and still it keeps blinking on and off. Not able to...

It may have unstable DC voltages due to failing DC filter caps which is very common problem to all LCD monitors as shown in my albums.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for:
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Want to unlock my monitor

This is the function that locks the OSD in order to keep the current states of
settings or prevent others from adjusting the current settings.

1. Lock : Hold down the menu button for more than five seconds to activate
the OSD adjustment lock function.

2. Unlock : Hold down the menu button for more than five seconds to
deactivate the OSD adjustment lock function.

Though the OSD adjustment lock function is activated, you can still
adjust the brightness and contrast, and adjust MagicBright ( )
using the Direct button.

Problem with Samsung SyncMaster 226BW

Click the top button on the side of the monitor to open the monitor's settings. In the "Picture" Settings, scroll down to "MagicBright" and open those settings. Chances are you have it set to "Dynamic Contrast". Switch that up to any of the other settings and then it won't try to adjust the gamma based on what is on the screen.

Hope this helps, I struggled with the same problem for quite a while until I found this setting.
