Question about Maytag CWG3100A Gas Single Oven

Open Question

I have an older version of this oven...part # 8104P918-60. Last week during a power outage the control display went out and will not operate. It is displaying 5 A6 as a code on the screen. I have unplugged it several times, but it does the same thing. The gas top is working however.

SOURCE: f7 code on maytag cwb3100aab 24" wall oven.

Hi, The Function key is shorted or stuck.

Replace touch pad or if touch pad is part of the clock, replace the clock (ERC).

SOURCE: F1 is displayed on Maytag Electric Oven

Hi

F1 error means that you have either a bad ERC (clock) or a bad touch pad. To check these please follow these simple instructions:

  1. Disconnect power to stove
  2. Gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC).
  3. Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
  4. Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on.
  5. Turn power back on to stove.
  6. Watch for the F1 and listen for the beep.
  7. If you get the F1 and beep, replace the ERC.
  8. If after approx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad...

SOURCE: had power outage, 5d fault,

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

Error code Sd indicates that the control is in demo mode and to exit this mode you have to press and hold the OVEN COOK TIMER and the START TIME buttons for around 20 seconds or till the time control begins to flash. Please get back to me with the model# if you have any other questions.

Oven is two weeks old. Town had a power outage we reset at breaker but still just beeps once and nothing happens

power outages cause power surges when the power comes back on
this surge generally manages to fry the power/control board
I suggest that you get the services of the service centre to come out and check it out.

We had a power outage and my whirlpool electric wall oven won't come back on this is the second time in two weeks , the first time it took over night but it's been 2 days now.

This is an older unit so I do not think there is a cavity fuse do the buttons beep when pressed if so then you have a bad control if not you will have to remove the control panel and verify 120 volts to the control board the wiring diagram should be located in the panel compartment

Wolf ovens getting err message after power outage

I had a Wolf 30F wall oven with a similar problem
after power outage. It wouldnt stop beeping with error message related
to temperature control. My solution was to turn power of at circuit
panel, then reset by pressing and holding the clear button for 5
seconds.

Also note: in my case I had to close the display
before switching the panel off. When I tried to the reset process with
the panel showing, it wouldn\'t reset.

To reset other
various parts of the control panel Instructions said:

Time-of-Day Clock

Immediately after the oven is installed, set
the 12-hour clock to the current time of day. It may need to be reset
after a prolonged power failure. The clock is visible on the control
panel during all modes. If the upper oven timer is set, the clock will
not be visible in the upper oven control panel display.

SETTING CLOCK

1) Touch CLOCK.

2) Touch number pads to
set current time of day.

3) Touch CLOCK or ENTER to start
clock.

24-HOUR CLOCK

The time-of-day clock can be
changed from a 12-hour clock to a 24-hour clock. After the clock has
been set, touch TEMPERATURE for three seconds, touch CLOCK, and then
touch ENTER. Follow the same sequence to change back to the standard
12-hour clock setting.

Fahrenheit to Celsius

The
oven can be changed from Fahrenheit (°F) temperature to Celsius
(°C).

Old Magic Chef wall oven (model 9875-5XRB), constantly beeps and displays the F1 error code. I have replaced the touch pad once before. Is that the only solution?

Does anyone know the answer? This was posted in October 2010! I ran the self clean too about a week ago. But we had a bunch of power outages last night. Today my oven has taken to beeping and flashing the F1 code. It is almost the same Model number. they wrote 9875XRB (not 5XRB) ...

Kenmore Mod.# 75824 I have a Fault Code EO-F3- the oven does not come on. No time display. I've reset the breaker and pushed the cancel/off button no help. This occured during a power outage.

Shorted sensor. Unplug the sensor and check it between each prong and the frame. If you get continuity you have a bad sensor. If the sensor is good, the wiring or the oven control is bad. The oven control has got to have a good sensor so it can know the temp inside the oven.

The electricity went off while cooking and when it came back on, the oven display reads "off" and wont allow us to resume cooking

try turning power of to the unit at the breaker box for 5 minutes,, if still having problems after turn power back on, i hate to tell this is common after power outages when the power comes back on as u might know the initial jolt will sometimes blow electronics,, and guess what allot of these wall ovens have touchpads and electronic control boards ... i tthink u might have blown ur control board

Thermador Oven E10 error message--due to power outage?

HI. During the power outage, there may have been a power surge. This has shorted your main control board. This E-10 is indicating that this is the issue. This code represents a failed control board. It must be replaced, in this case. Once replaced, the unit will return to its normal operating status.
