First try to change the cartrigde with a new one,if the problem persist in the main part you have a problem with the fuser (you need to replace the fixing film).Fixing film is an inside track fuser, fuser can change separately or altogether.

http://www.precisionroller.com/img/J3388.jpg this is the fixing film.First try to change the cartridge!!!

If i have been useful please give me a vote :).Thanks

Where do I load the original to be copied on this printer. I don't have the manual.

Here's a few links that might help you with the printer in general.

Hp laserjet 1320 printer printing problum the printing black black point.

Black printer ink in HP Printer may fail to be recognized by the printer. Most times an error message will be sent indicating that something is wrong with the black print cartridge. Sometimes the printer may accept to print with the black ink, but the printouts may have horizontal lines and very illegible letters. In such a case a manual cleaning of the print head should be carried out. In doing the manual cleaning, one should spray Windex heavily on paper towel and wipe off the surface of the print head.

My hp 2420 is printing a black line-form

Lines are usually caused by the toner cartridge or the fuser. In order to determine the cause you can replace the toner and see if the lines go away. If not then it is in the fuser assembly and you would need to replace the fuser.

Hp 2420 vrtical line in page

Hello,

This issue can be due to fuser. I am sure you have changed the toner cartridge.
To confirm its a fuser issue, please perform the following:
1. Try printing a configuration page from tray 1, pull the top cover, as soon as the media is 60-70% inside the printer.
This would stop the paper before reaching the fusing assy.
2. Remove the paper and check if the line exist.
If exists, fuser is not faulty.
If it does not, then transfer roller, laser/scanner assy is faulty

- If fuser is faulty, perform the cleaning page as following
1. go to configure device > print quality > create/process cleaning page
perform cleaning page 5-6 times, however, if the line is due to fuser, then fuser needs to be changed.

Let me know the next update.

- Nikhil
