I would exclude a laser problem. It looks like this is a cable problem instead.
First check if the TV cable is well plugged both to PS2 and TV.
Second, the cable could have been damaged while you were moving the TV, if you don't get results with the above solution, i'd suggest to get a new one at a local retailer, a PS2 RGB cable will cost just few bucks, but before buying something, I'd try the PS2 on a second TV, if have the chance.

For future reference, the cable is easily detached by inserting the straight end of a paper clip into the pinhole at the bottom of the handle where the cable attaches.
I would not recommend attempting to repair this device yourself. You could cause more damage than you already have. Since the device has a 5 year warranty, it may still be under warranty. The charge for reconnecting everything, if there is no damage, should be minimal.
