Yes, the thermocouple is a separate part from the valve. It's not necessary to replace the valve assembly.

How do I remove a bypass screw from a 630 eurosit gas valve to put in new valve

you are in the motorcycle section, but as the side of the unit says, not field serviceable. get a new one if your old one is broken. please do not risk you and/or your family's life trying to repair gas equipment you are not trained to repair.

I'm in the middle of this right now. Y'all don't know what you're talking about. The thermocouple you can buy at the local hardware store has a different thread (fine) from the Eurosit TC (coarse) and doesn't fit. Now I'm trying to source a Eurosit TC. Any suggestions?

The pilot light does not stay on .

You may have a bad themocouple. Its a probe that is in the pilot flames path. It converts heat from flame to a small electric current to open gas valve. Try to move it closer, clean it, or replace it. Also make sure the themocouple has been heated enough by flame to stay on.

Heater valve will not open and pilot light is lit

Hello
Sounds like a bad themocouple.

If you look close to the pilot light you will see a metal tube about 3 " long with a copper line going back too and screwing into the gas valve.

This is the thermocouple, what it does is sences heat from the pilot and allows the gas valve to open.

Next i would have a look at the thermostat when calling for heat you should have 24 volts at the gas valve,if you do not the t stat is bad.If you do then its either the gas valve or the themocouple.

Please turn off gas when having a look.

thromo stat bad the tempature knob has a gas valve attached to it along with two gas lines you will have to remove the oven to acess all lines as they run on the backside of the case remove the burners and gas input line copper line remove gas supply tube to all burners remove valve and take to dealer they need the numbers off the vavle for exact repacement not just the numbers off the stove itself east fix with simpl hand tools thermost has a themocouple attached to burner assembly and this is your problem bad part is themocouple is built into thermostat and is no serviceable only fix is to replace "thermostic gas valve"
