I have an Airtech 02094 heater (made by Aloha Housweares). The fan and oscillation still work, but the heater portion won't. How do I fix this?

I have this fan and unfortunately don't have a legend for the 5 buttons on top and what they do. is there a manual somewhere that tells me what each button does?

Hello, Chris -

I believe the Hawaiian Breeze tower oscillating fan operates much like the Aloha Breeze oscillating tower fan. I found an image for Aloha Breeze oscillating tower fan buttons, along with descriptions of what each button does.

I am not sure if the buttons on your fan are in a horizontal curve or a vertical alignment. However the attached image should help you figure out what the buttons on your fan represent.

Tower Oscillating Fan Buttons
1. Power - On / Off
2. Speed: slow, medium, fast
3. Timer: May be 15 levels; 1 / 2 hour setting for each timer level; Each touch of the button adds 1 / 2 hour of running time
4. Oscillation: Stop / Start fan oscillation
5. "Wind": Normal, Natural, Sleeping

Airtech tower fan

Weak batteries can. A faulty oscillator crystal inside it can. A faulty keypad can. A dirty keypad touch board inside the remote control can. Do you want any more explanations? .

My Aloha (Airtech) electric ceramic heater 02044 does not work on high. Could it be that the filter needs to be changed and if so, where can I buy the filter-that size does not seem to be readily...

Take the entire unit outside and blow it out with compressed air.
1) The filter is likely dirty and obstructing airflow. Be sure to clean per the user manual.
2) The unit is probably full of dust and needs to be cleaned periodically.

It isn't worth fixing. I am on my second one which didn't last any longer than the first which was about 3-4 months. These fan motors are junk. First failure was a bearing and when it started failing, it was noisy. Eventually, the fan would not start because the motor didn't have enough torque to overcome the friction in the bad bearing.

The second fan was quiet but has NO starting torque....no unusual for fans generally, but I'll NEVER BUY another ALOHA BREEZE product again.

Squeak in aloha breeze tower fan model 05538

If the model is equipped with a fan, and the noise occurs even when not oscillating it must be a fan/blower motor. If it is a squeak. A squeal could be an electical component going bad which is always bad. I would definitely take some bottom drawer tools , ie. screwdrivers and WD-40 and oil that squeaking motor. Being a fan it goes through alot of air pollutants. That tends to build up on the shaft and can work its way into the bearing seal. Good luck.

Aloha Breeze Tower Fan Will Not Oscillate

hi,

yes this is the oscillation motor, and they generally arent servicable, and need to be replaced, you can try and oil it, sometimes they have small air vents, and you can do a voltage test with a voltmeter but I believe the motor has failed or is gummed up, you can try and take it apart, they are held together with bent metal compression areas along the circumfrence of the motor, try sewing machine oil, you might have to do some research to find a replacement motor, maybe take it to a local clock shop, those motors are very close to what they used to put in old wall clocks.

good luck
