It is a left hand thread, so to remove turn it clockwise as you look at it.

How do you remove the clutch and drum off a poulan pro PP4620avhd

they make a special tool for removing the clutch, but it can be done without it, remove spark plug and get some rope and put it down into the cylinder, you want to put enough in so that when you turn the engine the rope stops it from turning, leave enough out to remove it, remove the clutch cover and bar and chain, turn the engine in direction you need to remove clutch, and when it stops turning, get a hammer and chisel (or air chisel works better) and place chisel against solid part of the clutch and hit in the direction it unscrews, (it is possible the clutch could break), not the best way to do it but it does work, reverse the engine to tighten. hope this help you, Mike

Mac 3227 clutch removal

Its pretty straight forward. Remove the nuts that hold the chain and bkar tight and remove clutch cover, chain, and bar. Then remove the clutch retaining nut from the crankshaft. The important thing here is turn the nut the correct direction. It will probably be left hand threads. If you dont you can snap the end of the crank off. Once the nut is off slip the clutch off. Be careful so you don't lose the key.

Which side of the clutch does throw out bearing go on

The throw out bearing will be on the outside of the clutch assemble. What it does is push against the fingers in the center of the pressure plate.

My Maytag Nuptune fav6800aww won't spin. I followed the directions to replace the clutch, but that didn't fix it. The tub will not rotate in either direction. I have taken the transmittion out and it...

Maybe the Outer Tub bearings are seized. With the Clutch Pulley removed the wash basket should rotate within the Outer Tub bearings with one finger in CCW and CW direction does it?

"" I followed the directions to replace the clutch, but that didn\'t fix it. "" Was it my post Clutch Fix post? If your FAV6800A used the Upper Bearing One-Way roller clutch bearing ring do you feel on reassembly the parts are seated correctly.

What are the first two digits of you s/n of your machine?

Was the Clutch Pulley One-Way Roller clutches bearing rusted up severely or only slightly? I'm trying to get a feel for a Tub Seal leak........Rich

I need direction how to remove Kenmore washing machine clutch

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number (###.######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

See the following:

http://www.american-appliance.com/catalog/newsdesk_info.php?newsPath=16&newsdesk_id=137&osCsid=a90e77f262530006e64486ae2d6f5699

NOTE:

You don't have to remove the agitator(s) to get to the clutch.

You do have to take out the bolts that hold the agitator(s) to the main spin shaft inside the drum. The main spin shaft is part of the transmission.

You also don't have to remove the Spin Tube and Brake assembly.

It is a lot easier to remove the transmission if you lay the washer down on its' back.

1995 ford f150 4.9 how to remove a/c clutch

remove drive belt then aquire the clutch removal tool from Auto zone or Napa, there is a specific puller designed to remove this clutch,in some cases in order to hold the pulley while removing center nut or bolt you must use a chain wrench with an old leather belt wraped around the pulley to protect the v-ribs on pulley in order to get the pulley bolt or nut loose the clutch will just turn when trying to loosen center nut if you don't use the chain wrench to hold it, after removing said nut or bolt attach the puller to the clutch and while holding it stationary with the chain wrench proceed to turn the shaft of the puller to remove the clutch, it should pop free after a couple of turns with a socket wrench of the appropriate size. PS use the chain wrench ($22.00 Auto zone) only in the corerect direction it does not clamp effectively either direction. also sometimes there is special holding tool for certain clutches, consult Napa or the dealer before buying the chain wrench it may not be effective in holding the clutch while trying to remove center bolt.

How to remove clutch on model z830sb

The clutch interior must be turned the same direction as the engine to loosen (reverse threads), tapping with a screwdriver and hammer usually does the trick. When you install the new clutch make sure you apply an anti seizing compound to the threads.

Starter cord tangled on shaft 3043ye

to remove the clutch remove the four screws that connet the trimmer shaft to the engine, remove the shaft. Then insert the correct torex head driver into the center of the clutch cover. There is a screw (the same head as the screws that holds the trimmer shaft on) Remove the clutch cover, insert a screwdriver into the engine cooling fins to hold the engine from rotating and turn the clutch from the engine. The clutch had a remove arrow to help with the direction to turn in order to remove.
