Touch pad not working light bar not on above the touch pad

Hi Cheryll,
Make sure there are no problems with the driver installed on your machine by going to Control Panel->Device Manager and see if there are any question\exclamation marks on one of the drivers. While you are at the device manager you can check the touch pad driver version and update it to the latest from the manufacturer website if needed. To check the driver version double click the touch pad and go to the Driver tab. You will see it under driver version.
Also some netbooks got an hardware button to shutdown the Touch Pad.

TheSmacker.

My laptops touch mouse pad wont work while my hp pavilion laptop is being charged.

It seems you need the Driver. You can use the Chipset Driver CD to install it.
Make sure in Device Manager you should not have any Yellow or Red Mark.

My wired mouse is not recognised on my laptop

I assume this is a USB mouse and it should work.
Attach the mouse and check your device manager that can be accessed by doing the following:
Find the icon for My Computer (XP) or Computer (Vista, Win 7).
Right click on it and then choose the hardware tab.
When that tab opens, click on device manager.
Check the mouse item to see if your mouse is recognized. It may have an exclamation mark on it. If so, right click on it and delete it.
Check the USB devices at the end of the list to make sure there are no exclamation marks on any. If there are, delete them.
Restart the computer to see if the devices are found. This should work. The only problem you could have is if the mouse itself is bad or if your motherboard is having a problem.

Laptop mouse not moving properly

If u r talking about the Mouse pad on ur laptop, then i guess u should reinstall the driver of ur touch pad..
U can do so by going to Properties of my computer
Open device manager & select mouse
Now simply uninstall the device & restart your system..
if u cant restart it then simply press F5 inside ur device manager tab. It will show a pop up named, NEW HARDWARE FOUND.
Let it install it... Its ur mouse ( Touch Pad) & after it installs its driver, restart ur system

now check out whether it works or not..

Hope this works u out..
If u like my post please rate me up..
I really need some good ratings..

Wireless mouse is not working. computer says the wireless button is turned off. can't find it to turn it back on. hp dv6 1030us

Check your bios settings when the computer first turns on it well say press F2 to enter setup (could be a different F key) if it doesn't say that, try pressing F2, F1, F10, and F12 or the DEL key. if these don't work, Try again and press all the Fkeys across the keyboard. on will take yo into setup and you should find a wireless device setting to turn it on. If you can't find one, you may not have a wireless adapter installed in your system.

Frozen mouse with a touch pad laptop computer

Check your drivers. Go into the device manager (start>control panel>system>hardware>device manager>human interface device) . If it shows a big yellow question mark, than it is a driver problem.

I would suggest that you either install or download the latest drivers for the mouse, and you can do this even without checking for a hardware conflict as stated above.

You can also access the control panel and trouble shoot your mouse through the mouse icon.

Even sometimes this may not work.....

I had an IBM brand optical mouse that continually plague me with problems until I gave it away with a computer that I built. The person who has it is still have occasionally issues with the mouse even with the proper drivers installed. I believe that it is a connection issue because sometimes the mouse will start working when you jiggle the male USB connection.
