I beleive that you will need to remove it and install it again. WHat has happened is that your printer dose not recognize the cartage. I had the same problem with my Epson printer. But once I re-intalled the CISS, it works fine. When the ink is low I run my Cleaning Program in the Epson, this will re-fill the empty cartage.

You might need to go into the "Program Files" and delete or wipe the file that your CISS is in. Then restart the PC and re-install the software

Canon ip 7240 i used refill ciss but 4 flash

Hi, My name is Liam from rihac, although we do not sell printers I work very closely with them via our inklink products. When a printer flashes 4 times this is a sign that an ink tank is not installed correctly or that the cartridge will need to be replaced as it is low on ink. As you are using a CISS the cartridges will always have ink in them. To bypass this error all you will need to do is press and hold the RESUME button on the printer for 10 seconds and this will turn off the cartridges ink status monitor and allow you to continue printing.

My brand new EPSON ME101 flashes all lights. Not able totake any print outs.

If the printer is new, the cartridges may give less number of print outs with epson printer or the cartridges may not work at all. This problem may be because the cartridges has a resetting chip. This chip has a capacitor that is drained off over the years.

New cartridge wont work and power and ink lights flashing.

You probably need to remove the protective film from the contacts on the cartridge. murf427

Sorry about not giving you good answer.

For Canon cartridge, u must unplug the power cords before you pull out cartridge as for the prevention.

If you have problem with CISS, try ROADINK product for your ink refill.

If you use CISS quality is not good as branded one. But for ROADINK refill kit, will help you to get quality printing job.

Epson RX595 says "Error-paper jam" but no paper in printer!!!

I got my printer to work (finally! #$^%$%) by moving the ink carriage back and forth a bit gently and then I sprayed a small amount of WD40 on a lint free small cloth and wiped the silver bar inside with it. I slid the carriage slowly from one side to the left and it seemed to stick less. I thought my printer was broken so I figured it couldn't do any more harm and lo and behold it worked! My printer went back to the normal screen after turning it back on and I am finishing the print job that I never thought would happen. YAY!

How to refill brother LC38 cartridge

The cartridge is requires to be refilled immediately when it runs out of ink otherwise the print head gets dried up and becomes unusable.
Remove the ink cartridge; in the front side you'll see a small lever moving in side the transparent cartridge above the ink supply nozel. This is the sensor and tells about the ink quantity in the cartridge.
very carefully make a pin hole in it and use a 5ml syringe filled with "CISS ink" and not ordinary ink. CISS Ink is specially meant for continuous ink supply system and easily available for little higher price than normal ink.
Remember that the side walls of your Brother ink cartridges are made of transparent polythene and hence when injecting the needle of the syringe be careful that it does not go puncture the side walls and goes straight vertically. Injet the ink. Seal the pin hole with wax. You can use burning candle to drop little melted wax over the hole.
The better idea would be to break open a cartridge and see for yourself so that you dont damage the side walls accidentally.
The refillable ink cartridge set is available just for US $ 9.30 shipping paid from eBay.com I am using that set. Be careful Brother would void your warranty if it finds out that you are using refillables.
