Unless you don't mind voiding your warranty, the only other way to fix it, is to crack open the case of the console, and force the ethernet port back into position, though I strongly suggest against this, since you could easily break something inside of the case and cause a far wose problem. The only other soultion is to dropa a couple hundred bucks for the wireless reciever, and get on the internet that way. Otherwise the best option is to send it to microsoft for repair.

How to fix an e 73 error

Unfortunately the Xbox 360 Elite E73 Error translates as this:

I/O Hardware Error - Couldn't calibrate HSIO Bus from edram: this error is likely caused by a problem with the Ethernet port or supporting control devices

Basically, you have a hardware problem with the Ethernet (internet) port on the back of the console. You should send it in to Microsoft to get it repaired.

Dan

E73 is the scaler chip and that deals with the display on your Xbox 360 you will need to get it fixed and you can send it in to do this or repair it yourself using a good guide.

El xbox 360 al encender aparece en la pantalla error 73

E73: General Hardware Error: Ethernet port... this error is caused by a problem with the Ethernet port.

HI, this error 73 is concerning the Ethernet port. this port is integrated within the mother board layout and cannot be isolated for a do it yourself repair. You will have to send your X-Box 360 to Microsoft for this repair because the actual Ethernet component is not available for consumer purchase. Call this number to request a repair tech and direction on where to send your unit in for repair. 1-800-4MY-XBOX

Please rate and god bless:)

Blackout in my house, Xbox 360 ethernet port broken!

All the message means is it can't find the internet, so your internet must have went down.. your systems should still be working fine. I don't know much about using usb for ethernet, but that sounds like it would work no problem.

Xbox 360 error e73

There is no easy do it yourself fix with the Ethernet failure. you will need to send to Microsoft for this repair. the actual Ethernet port is integrated within the main board. it will need to be replaced by a Microsoft tech. They will re solder the new port on the board and the actual Port is not available for consumer purchase at this time. use the number below to request a repair ticket.

Try restarting without the Ethernet cable plugged in.
Also: If you have an addon intercooler, you might try detaching this and trying again.
