If a hard drive has failed within one year of the purchase date, then it will be covered under warranty. If it is beyond one year, or the problem is not with the hard drive itself but instead with the operating system that is installed on the drive, then it will not be covered under a warranty.

F101-4: Partition mount error (The HDD cannot be connected (mounted) caused by damage to the "/work" partition.)

1. Turn the power of the equipment OFF and check the connection of the HDD.
- Connector and harness check
- Check if the connector pins of the HDD are bent.
- Check if HDD for other equipment is not installed.
- Check if SRAM for other equipment is not installed.

2. If the error still occurs after step 1, perform the following.
- Perform [3C] - [5] (Key Backup Restore) and check that each Key Status is "OK".
- If not, recover the key (copy "SRAM Key Status" to "FROM Key Status" or vice versa).

3. If the error persists after step 2, perform
[5]+[C]+[POWER]?2. Recovery F/S?3. /work, and then restart the equipment.

4. If the error persists after step 3, perform
[5]+[C]+[POWER]?3. Initialize HDD?2. /work, and then restart the equipment.

5. If the error still persists after step 4, perform the following.
- Perform [3C] - [3] (Format HDD), and then install "System Software (HD data)" with [49] - [4].

Notes:
The following items will be deleted by performing [3C] - [3] (Format HDD).
• Message Log
• Job Log
• Spool Data (Print, Email reception)
• Template

Hi dear Expert. I Have my MB ASUS M2A-VM HDMI. SATA1(0) was connected with HDD Samsung 320Gb. SATA2(1) was connected with CD drive. Other ports spare. Now by commecting new HD Samsung 1Tb on SATA3(2)...


If the new Drive is setup on a different channel than the First HDD and CD then it should be set to Master. In the Bios you probably need to activate the second SATA channel so the Auto Detect Function can work. You also need to check that the MB can support a drive that size. Not all MB will support an HDD of that size. Aside from the Obvious of checking all your cable connection to insure that they are all solid the only other thing I would recommend is that you switch the CD and new HDD positions. Put both HD's on the same SATA channel and the CD on the Separate channel. This would require making 1 HD a Master and the other a Slave and changing the CD to a Master since it will have it's own Channel. Second, try remove all but the New HDD from the system. Set the New HDD up as the only HDD and see if the BIOS will see and allow you to select it. If it will not there is a problem either with the size of the HD or with the HD itself.

No recognized by any PC I try to plug in


Hi are u sure the hard disk was not complitly full if yes try to use anothe backup software such as easy recover pro or so and copy all the data from your hdd to another location but befor udo so please be sure

1. shut down your system shut down the hdd plug the power properly to your hdd and connect the usb or firewire then connect the medium to your system and start the hdd and then start your system ...if it detected its fine...

2. if still dosent detect check in disk management by right clicking on my computer icon go to manage and then disk management if u see the hdd over there and showing status a forigen just right click on the word and say import forigen disk .and should work

if the status shows unalocated right click on it and say intialize hdd ..
if shows helthy and be sure have a drive letter on if not then please right click on the hdd strap and say add or change drive letter and use any abailable drive letter
