Nothing has been destroyed the swing has never been used. When it was being assembled we accidently switch the placing of the rear legs. I need to know how those can be taken off so that they can be assembled correctly therefore the swing will operate. There are no motor issues. The gracobaby.com website is no longer in service, that was my first option. The swing is a Graco "lovin hug plug in swing" model# 144991a.

    Hi,

According to you if electric surge have destroyed your toy's motor then there don't have another way without replacing the motor. You don't have say the toy model or description, so try to open the toy disconnect the connections of the motor then take the motor out and replace with the new motor. Soldering may required to connect the new motor wires, so keep soldering tools there. And don't forget to disconnect or remove the battery before doing the job.

Trouble rising motor seems too be locked down. is there release lever some place?

there is a lock system at the pivot for the motor and leg
it automatically locks in place to prevent the leg from rising up when the motor it placed in reverse
check that it is disconnecting when placed in neutral or forward
it remains disconnected in neutral or forward to allow the leg to swing back if you hit a log, sand bank, or floating object
it should be automatic with the gear selection process so check the selector adjustments

I AM USING SOMEONE ELSE'S SWAY & PLAY. HOW DO I CHANGE THE BATTERIES AND WHAT SIZE ARE THEY?

tools needed : 1 Phillips head screw driver, 4 d cell batteries.

as you look at the swing, from the front, you will see a mobile set into the side of the leg on the RIGHT side.
it's the leg with the on off switch.
insert the screwdriver through the hole in the mobile and into the screw inset at the top of the leg. You will see that it's at the top of a rectangular door..this is the battery door.
unscrew the 1 screw and remove the door. the mobile will come off as it's attached to that door. change the batteries and put the door back on and re-install the screw.

hope this helps!

My Starlight papasan craddle swing clicks loudly and the gears seemingly miss causing it to not swing properly whenever I put my baby in it (he only weighs 8 pounds). When there is no weight in it, it...

Make sure the legs are pulled out all of the way by pulling the legs outward. Make sure the buttons snap into the notches in the motorized frame. Also check to be sure the legs are locked into position by pushing the legs inward. The legs should not move. Also if you can adjust the swing from side to side make sure it is locked in place. That should fix it.

I have just purchaced a graco bounce n swing. ive inserted leg tube into wrong side n cant get it out. what should i do?

There is a plastic casing around where the leg snaps in. Lift this section with a screwdriver being careful not to break it. With it lifted, push down on the end of the leg that is incorrectly inserted and push down. I had the sane exact issue and this is how I figured it out. Good luck!

When I open bottom or top fridge doors they swing all the way open by themselves instead of staying put partially open

Hi,
The fridge needs to be leveled better...
When the doors swing open then gravity takes over and pulls the doors open the rest of the way...
to fix this adjust the legs of the fridge so that it leans just a bit away from the hinge side and back just a bit...then the doors will swing closed by themselves...

The back legs may have to be shimmed and the front leg adjustments are usually right behind the front cover at the floor...sometimes there are screws there to adjust the back legs from the front also...

Reassembling telescopic sections for a 676B monopod

Each leg lock has a leg locking lever and a screw that hold the clamp assembly tight to the leg. Unlock the leg lock lever, loosen the screw above it that holds the clamp tight to the leg. The legs should fit into each other sice each leg is slightly larger or smaller then then next one. Slide the clamps in the approprite places and tighten the screw enough to hold the clamp assembly tight, but do not over tighten it. Over tightening will damage the 679 tubes.

Cobra 1000 GTL by Dynascan

This is a complicated modification. I have never done it to a 1000 GTL, but its done basically the same in all radio's.

I don't recommend doing it, especially since I am not 100% sure on how exactly to do it. I have never been in a 1000 gtl. If I had one in front of me I could tell you for sure how to do it.

If the reason for Variable power is a linear, just a swing kit in for the dead key you need, most likely 2 watts, and leave it.

Here is how to do a variable power mod. this is assuming the swing mod is done the same to this as a cobra 25/29 or uniden 68/76 etc.

If you would like to try it, here it is.

You get a TIP31 transistor, Radioshack has them.

Where you put the swing mod in the radio, which is a cap and a resistor, you put the TIP31 and cap. A 47uf cap works fine.

With the resistor facing you, and the tab in the back away, solder the cap to the transistor. the leg with the black stripe goes on the right most leg. then the other goes to the center leg of the transistor.

Solder a wire on the left most leg, long enough to reach the front of the radio. Now solder the 2 legs that don't have the wire on it, in the place where you would put the swing kit, with the black stripe on the cap facing the back of the radio usually.

Remove the wires from the RF gain and solder them together.

Now solder the wire from the transistor to the center tab.

Remove VR6 and solder a wire from the top tag of the RF gain to the top connection of VR6 that you removed.

Then connect a wire from the bottom tag to a ground point. The side of a tuning can works fine.

Take a piece of shrink tube and put it over the TIP31 so it does not ground against the heat sink, that would be bad.

This is done basically the same in all cb radio's.
