Is it the Data Light? If it's the Data Light it's actually normal for it to blink since it's getting the user data to the modem. However, you might want to recheck the connections, if the cables are connected correctly to the correct port. If all else fails, you might want to contact your Internet Service Provider where you got this modem from since the modem might be faulty.

You can check the manual for this modem here:

Hope this helps.

N300 router has a steady orange blinking light

The blinking orange power light suggests that there is a problem with your modem. The modem should be plugged into the top ethernet port of your router. Try turning off your modem for 10 seconds and then turning it back on.

Hi! im having a problem on connecting via wi-fi using this router, my iphone3gs is connecting but theres no internet connection. please help me...

The main problem is with the Internet port connection on this router.
Make sure that the internet port is connected to your DSL modem, or Cable modem. The 3rd light from the left on the front panel is the WAN (Internet) light. It should be solid green or blinking.

You should also be able to connect into the router using a web browser.

enter the username and password.
If it has never been configured before: username (admin) / password (leave it blank)

Try running the setup wizard in the web browser.

My motorola SURFboard SB5101 has a on power light, a blinking recieve light, and an on PC/Activity light, with the other lights off. what is wrong with it?

The light pattern you have described indicates that the modem can not establish a connection to your internet service provider (ISP). This is typically do to a signal related issue. To trouble shoot the problem you will need to connect the modem directly to the main cable line where it first enters into the home. You will know when the modem establishes a connection by the top 4 lights becoming green. If at any point all 4 top green lights start to blink in sequence than you will need to contact your internet service provider to "unwall the modem". Remember most internet service providers require you to register your modem on there network. So if you have not all ready completed that process you will most likely not have access.

I hope that information above has helped is some way.

How do i fix it if the online light is blinking

This light pattern indicates that the modem can not establish a connection to your internet service provider (ISP). This is typically do to a signal related issue. To trouble shoot the problem you will need to connect the modem directly to the main cable line where it first enters into the home. This process is known as bypassing the splitters. You will know when the modem establishes a connection by the top 4 lights becoming solid green. If bypassing your splitters resolved the issue than you will need to replace the malfunctioning splitter. Typically splitter only cost a few bucks and can be purchased from any electronic store. If at any point all 4 top green lights start to blink in sequence than you will need to contact your internet service provider to "unwall the modem". My internet connection does not work. I can't connect to internet. My modem blinks but it seems it can not find anything to connect to it. It used to work for a few months but suddenly without any reason...

turn the computer off and unplug the modem for few seconds (15) then reconect the modem and let it start all the lights
about (20s) then turn the computer on.
if still cannot connect call your ISP

My modem randomly resets and no internet.

either the modem is going out or its a problem with your internet provider. before calling to complain to the internet provider. run down to your local walmart or electronics store and pickup a modern if you have the same issue its your internet provider.

i delt with a modem that was causing a similar issue. the problem ended up being the modem was running hot. i modified the case and added an external fan and the problem went away.

hope this helps. good luck

My ethernet light is blinking

Make sure you have internet. The ethernet light is blinking because what ever u have plugged into it is talking to the modem. The modem will then take that request and ask for it on the DSL/internet line. Make sure the DSL light is steady on and the internet light is on or flashing with activity.
