    Mike, can you set up a meeting with me on GotoMeeting so that I can tell you the exact loader error. I can't do it unless there is a meeting I am trying to join.

    Thanks!

    Hi Michael,
    I have vista... I have a gotomeeting tomorrow am at 11:00am PST. I will see what error I get at that time and get back to you.

    Thanks,
    Stella

    It stated "an error has occured Start Mode not specified. The log file may contain additional details." I went and deleted the file which I likely shouldn't have but thought I would do this and start over. It didn't work and the next try failed and said "Gotomeeting failed to start, or exited with an error. Please try again. Same thing happens everytime. Hope you can help!

Hello slarson1 -- Can you tell me which version of Windows (an early assumption on this end) and is the windows version 32 or 64 bit?

What medium are you installing from...a CD/DVD, File download?

Can you write down the exact error message?

I'll be here -- Later

    Stella - I can't really do that without going outside the acceptable parameters of my agreement with Fix Ya regarding using outside resources.

    Is there anyone else you can setup a meeting with to recreate the error?

    Stella - The software is definitely "broken" as indicated by the the last message and might have been previously.

    I'd like you to completely remove this copy of gotomeeting, not erase but remove as below:

    Open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Programs and Features.

    Select Gotomeeting, and then click Uninstall. You may be presented with the option to change or repair the program in addition to uninstalling it but - we want to uninstall. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    Please note down any Windows error message that occurs here (if any).

    Then go and install gotomeeting again by visiting HERE.

    The software will install itself (asking permission) and then try to launch itself. Take note of what happens here.

    Come back and let me know what happens. This does not appear to be a big deal.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Loader Error - GoTo Meeting

Huh. I usually wouldn't do this but I suggest using a different remote assistance program. Here's a great one that I suggest for you. It's called TeamViewer, you can do everything you could do on GoToMeeting. I hope it helps and I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

Error 12039

System error code 12039 means "The application is moving from a non-SSL to an SSL connection because of a redirect." This error code may also display as "ERROR_INTERNET_HTTP_TO_HTTPS_ON_REDIR" or as a specific value.

I have seen this question raised before on this forum- some suggested removing gotomeeting and re-installing it; others claim that if you have the "Ask" toolbar- to remove the toolbar due to conflicts; some others suggested updating your web browser while others suggested getting help support at gotomeeting.

When trying to enter a meeting code for a gotomeeting, it then tells me there is an unexpected error. Please try again. I have confirmed that this IS the correct number.

I had this issue as well and I ended up having to delete the C:\Program Files\Citrix\GoToMeeting folder because it had some old cached versions of GoToMeeting. After that it worked fine.

I'd say ditch GoToMeeting for a service that doesn't require a download. Check out Voxwire: http:voxwire.com

Go to meeting cannot locate folder to install to

I have this same problem. Its not an issue of permissions as neither my user who has Administrator rights locally and my domain admin account get the same message. I also tried deleting the GoToMeeting folder outright and still get the same error. (although it does re-create the folder for me)

Not able to install Citrix GoToMeeting

Hi!
I am a Vista user and did have the same issue, so here what I did in order not to have this annoying error (I am not sure what action specifically did the trick):
1) Did it via Firefox (make sure you have the latest one);
2) Go to java.com and install the latest java update;
3) Go to gotomeeting.com->Login->re-install software->download manually and save g2m_download.exe file;
4) Now do Unblock and Apply in g2m_download.exe file property General tab;
5) Then Vista users need to disable UAC, I suppose this is the same as "Uncheck the “Protect my computer …”" (Go to "Control Panel" and type "UAC" into the search box. This will bring up the link: "Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off." Click it. Uncheck the box next to "Use UAC to help protect my computer" then click OK. Restart.);
6) After restart right click on g2m_download.exe and "run as administrator".
Thats it!
