Question about Fender Musical Instruments Corporation Fender Telecaster standard ferrules 099 4917 000

1 Answer

It takes me at least 10-20 minutes of trial and error to restring my tele because the ferrules seem to be off. Are there any simple ways around this or do I just have to deal with the annoyance?

If they keep falling out, you can try using the smallest amount of wood glue to secure them. If you are talking about bad alignment, that's just the way it is.

Wire up a epiphone prophecy guitar

It gets a little involved, I would recommend a simple book from say amazon, or google basic guitar wiring. Take an extra couple minutes and apply aluminum foil or adhesive metal tape where you can inside any cavities, then ground it. You'll reduce hum. Use good shielded wire. Practice soldering techniques, a cold solder joint will make the whole project flop.

What is the best amp setup to get that bakersfield tele sound with a fender tele.

Normally, the best way to get a very clean sound is to set the master to maximum and then bring up the preamp gain to the level you need.

Effects not working on mackie cfx 20

I can't find a schematic but this seems to be kind of simple to repair. These effects units are usually a small sound card almost like those in a computer. They plug in on a loop inside and also have a small 12vdc power plug. Not sure on this particular model but I have found several problems like this to be a loose connection. If you have it open and turned on, try wiggling the plug around and see if you see or hear any changes. The should also be a plug for the send/return loop I would wiggle as well. This plug goes through the effects level control knob and if it gets loose or dirty could make the level jump with a little vibration. It doesn't take much vibration to make a dirty connection show up. It does seem to be something of this type happening if the effects do work, verifying the effects card is probably ok.

There shouldnt be an issue, you can try it if it sounds like **** then go back to the other way. Trial an error is always an option :-)

Open string/saddle buzz on brand new tele. what to do?

Take it in for adjustment/setup. Since it is brand new, exercise your warranty to get it properly setup. Best not to attempt adjustment yourself while under warranty.

I have a fishman tele power bridge and one of the trandsducers, the A string, is not as loud as he other strings. And it seems to always have a buzzing problem. Not humming, but more like the strings is to...

I would first investigate if the string itself MAY have a problem. If the strings are old, say over a year, try a new set. The only other likely cause of the problem is the setup of the unit.

My tele tuners have a slot in the tuners. I am

Usually you have either loops or little metal spools in loops at the end of the strings. The little spools are put down into the slots to secure the strings. If your old strings have the spools, you can remove them and put into your new strings.

Electric guitar pick up doesnt work?

se3veral things have to be ruled out, start with the cord that your using to your amp, is it good? next is the volume on both the guitar and amp also good, the last thing that should be wrong is the pickup itself unless a wire is broken off of it, you can usally check this from somewhere on the back of the guitar, if all the wires are good, check the two volume controls and on the back of the amp check the wires going to the speaker.
