Question about Motorola Mobility Q

Motorola Q internal screen dust

Anyone have a solution for getting rid of the dust in between the screens on the Motorola Q?
I just bought one on Ebay, It's great except for the internal dust.
I'd love to come up with a way to fix it.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Phone is stuck on weird motorola flash mode screen

I can help you with your Motorola Moto Q flash mode screen problem.

What has happened is that the firmware / system software of your phone has become corrupted. When this happens your phone will no longer finish its boot sequence.

This is a very common situation with many phones: in fact, much of what I do here at Fixya is explain how people can fix their MP3 players, GPS and phones by reflashing the firmware.

The good news is that if you take your phone into your carrier's store, they can reflash the firmware for you right there (if they have a competent tech handy.)

If you are comfortable with computers etc, you can also do it yourself. Your computer will communicate with and fix your phone, even though it doesn't seem to recognize it right now - I've seen this many many times.

My only warning for you is that if you are going to flash your phone yourself, you need to get the correct firmware from motorola's site for your carrier. I just downloaded the Verizon firmware as an example - Motorola's website has about ten different carrier firmwares for their MotoQ phone.

I hope that helps.

Frozen screen

sounds like liquid damage

you can try to clean it internally, or wipe the charging port with a toothbrush and denatured alcohol.

Good luck!

Dust stuck inside screen

Yah it happens, I have that to periodically

What service do you have, if you Sprint and have the service plan a sprint service center will clean your phone at no cost, if you don't they will charge you between 15-55 i'm not sure what level of service that is considered but i think its service level 2 which is 35. Than you can add the insurance for the future after you do a repair

My A1200 Touch Screen is not Working

Well, I bought two A1200 that have the same problem but I bought them to use as modems. There is one thing that makes me believe that it is the digitizer, the phone works great, you can receive calls, use the camera etc. everything that works with the buttons. So I bought a touch screen in Ebay (about 10$) to get this fixed, if you want to do it by yourself take care, you need to solder the touch screen, this isn't very easy. If you want to go by the more secure solution buy a complete screen with touch screen (about 40$). You can find manuals searching in google.
I hope that info helped something.
