The scanned items should be stored somewhere on your computer as an image file(JPG, TIF, BMP, or PDF). Typically, when you scan a document you decide where to save the document. Simply browse to where the scanned documents are, right-click on one of the files then click Delete. This should delete the scanned document.
The scanning unit is independent from printing unit. You can scan even with empty ink cartridges. At sametime, if you wanna copy documents, you need both scanning and copying units to work. Try reinstalling the Driver from the provided drive CD.
Scanning using the Operation Panel
1. Place the document face-down on the
platen glass. 2. Press the [Scan] button on the
MP Navigator starts on the connected computer. You can scan in
documents placed on the platen glass using MP Navigator.
Right Click on My Computer/Computer if Vista........ Click on Properties then click on Hardware click on Device Manager...... On that list u will see the Printer Name with an exclamation Mark........ Right Click on that click on update Drivers...... Insert the CD to the drive....... Select Browse My Computer for Driver software..... Click on Browse and then Double Click on Computer go to Canon.......... Double click on Drivers and then click on scan and then click ok........ Now click next it will say the hardware is ready to use then u can just click on finish and scan..... Thanku
