If you mean you emptied it, and replaced the holding tank and now it doesn't work ... The holding tank probably didn't activate the safety trigger. Remove the tank and reinstall it, making sure that the tank triggers the safety switch. That should solve the problem.

Wow, what I suggested is generally the problem 95% of the time. First, turn the Master On/Off Switch to OFF and unplug the unit. Then, check the receptacle that unit was plugged into, to make sure it's still active and the circuit breaker for it hasn't been tripped. If that checks out fine, leave the unit unplugged for 12 - 15 minutes and then plug it back in. Turn the Master On/Off Switch to ON and set the controls as you normally would. If the unit now operates as it should, that 12 -15 minute timeout, allowed it to reset itself and you're ready to go.
Please keep me advised and don't forget to rate my responses to you. Thanks.

Yes... set the dehumidifiers up on blacks so that the hose drains downward and your problem will be solved... make sure the hose is supported so that it steadyly slopes downward and does not trap...

The outlet is very crappy and the hose does not seal well ...also make sure the hose end has a washer in it...

Do I need an attachment to connect hose to my new dehumidifier?

it should be generic. you just need a part with the same thread pattern. you could fix that a lot of different ways. as long as it screws in your ok. make sure you put some teflon tape on it to prevent it from dripping

Cycles every 3 minutes

It may be in a basement that is to cool. Unless this is a special low temp dehumid it needs to be in the upper 60's to work correctly. Also a 50 pint is for a pretty good size area, if it is in a small area or if the temp is to cool in the basement it is in it will freeze up and cycle off. 3 min is awfull quick though. It may be low on freon also. Just a couple things to think about.

Haier dehumid-HDN455-How do I clean?

that grill like area may be the dehum's coils. Yes they have to be cleaned. You use this dehum every day and so you have to clean it more often. See if you can with a small brush and a vacuum. clean it. Or if you have an air compressor you can blow it out.
Keeping the dehum clean will allow it to work better.
