Do you clean the grill's flame tamers and the cooking grates regularly? If not the residue may be turning to ash and discoloring your food. Also, not grilling at a high enough temperature could cause discoloration of some meats. In addition, if the LP tank you're using hasn't been used in quite a while (sat full throughout the Winter months), the tank may have some sludge in it. In which case replace the tank.

Hope this helps your solve the problem.

I just want to know if I can use Charbroil's natural gas conversion kit to convert my Weber Genesis Silver grill.

NO. Weber grills have never been approved for gas conversions. That's why they made/make Natural Gas models & Propane models. Doing so, puts all the liability in your lap, if some thing should go wrong. If you have any doubts, check your Owner's Manual under "Warnings."

Hope this helped to answer your question. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Bought a weber genesis 320 Problem with the Weber Genesis E-320 Propane Grill bought a weber genesis 320 in US and need to replace the hose / regulator that it fits to German LP gas cylinders. Which...

Normally, at least on an American grill hose/regulator assembly are a universal fit. And both ends of the hose have female couplings. I would think it would be the same on German Models too. For the connection to the grill, the hose coupling size is 3/8" ID.

My weber genesis silver starts up, but doesn't get hot enough to cook the food. Seems like not enough flame out of either front or back burners. I tried Outting in a full propane tank, but that didn't...

Try these steps in order.
  1. Turn off the gas at the propane tank
  2. Disconnect the gas line from the tank
  3. Open the grill lid
  4. Turn all control valves to high
  5. Wait for about a minute
  6. Turn all control valves to off
  7. Reconnect the gas line to the tank
  8. SLOWLY turn on the gas at the tank
  9. Light the grill normally
  10. Your grill should now heat normally

Maybe just clearing air out of the line, other than a minute would not be normal.

How do i know the coals are still hot and cooking my food and im not sure ive placed them right in weber

Pile the charcoal up in the center of the weber to light them. Wait until they all turn white, most people don't wait long enough. Then spread them out in one layer on the bottom. Put on the grate and cook.

How do I take my Weber Genesis grill apart to clean the burners? The burners are not heating up properly. The flame is very poor and not hot enough to cook food.

Turn on just one burner, once it is lit, turn on a second burner, if the flame gets lower or goes out, you probably need a new regulator.

Weber won't get very hot

Safety valve needs reset.
  • Close the LP tank valve
  • Turn all burner control knobs to the OFF position
  • Open the grill lid
  • Turn the LP tank valve until it is completely open
  • Wait several seconds
  • Turn the front burner to the HI/Start position
  • Press the igniter until the burner is lit.
  • Turn remaining burners to High
  • Close the lid.
  • The grill should preheat to 500-550 degrees in 10-15 minutes
I called Weber and the rep walked me through the reset. All grills made after 1996 have this bypass valve.
