As long as the crack is not over the lens you should be ok if you use superglue to cover the cracks. It might not have waterproofing to the same depths, but it should keep it dry at shorter ones even if the crack did go through.
Please leave feedback if this was helpful. Thanks.

My olympus stylus 6020 is about 5 months old. while trying it out in fresh water, the camera worked initially and then after a couple of pictures turned off and a "reformat memory card' msg came...

Once a week, I climb a mountain and shout for all the world to hear...."the only truly waterproof camera is one in a specially-designed plastic waterproof housing. Any point and shoot camera that says it's waterproof WILL LEAK! You just don't know when."

Panasonic lumix dmc-fz8 shutter button cracked

Hi dear, you can try to order the parts from Panasonic and do it yourself.
I strongly recommend you bring your camera to an authorized repair center to get it fix by them.Because it looks simple to open the camera but it's not.

What brand of camera is easy to use and has an excellent rating for reliability? also am looking for a camera that is wallet size and under $200.

Any of the major brands will be about the same reliability. Nikon, Canon, Sony, Casio, Kodak...even some of the less known names are great.

A bigger factor than brand is whether it uses a lens that moves in and out, and whether it's made to get a bit wet or be dropped. Any of the cameras where the lens moves in or out when you turn it on is more fragile than those that don't. You are far more likely to break a camera by dropping it than you are to have it stop working due to a reliability problem. Olympus makes good waterproof cameras, but they are about $250. Fuji makes one for about $130. Model is the Fujifilm FinePix Z33WP. But...if you search waterproof digital camera you'll find more, and maybe one that you like better!

There's really no absolute right answer here, but overall find one that a well known brand and that doesn't have the extending lens.

My camera fell out of my pocket book and busted the door. I glued it. that worked for about 6 months. I need the door for it and it will be as good as new.
