Question about HP Computers & Internet

Can I have my desktop PC and a HP laptop hooked to my netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Router WNDR3400 at the same time. Do they both have to be on the wireless? I dont know computer so it is really frustrating. The PC works ok. as well as everything else. I dont know what kind of info you need to help me with this. Help

The answer is a qualified yes. They must have the ability to connect to wireless router. Some laptop and desk tops don't have WI-FI cards installed. They should also have the proper drivers for the cards. Good Luck.

computer freezes from time to time just make sure your cleaning it out and scaning it for spyware,adware and viruses
use malwarebytes for virus scan

My new HP desktop is asking for PIN of wireless router. My router is Netgear N600 WNDR3400v2. All I can find is two MAC #'s and the S/N. Where is the PIN?


This router does not use any type of PIN. You may be confused as the HP wireless networking setup may be asking for the "password", or WPA2 key that secures the wireless network. This must be entered before the router will accept the client and assign it a network IP address. The WPA2 key is stored in the router under the Wireless Settings Option. Unfortunately, if you don't know the key, going there won't help you as the key is not visible.

the router may not be designed for that regian you may need to purchase a new router
