An alternative to MS Word and the rest of the Office Products is OpenOffice. This can be found at

It is totally free and requires no resgistration code. It is 95% compatible with MS Word. Enjoy!

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I have loaded microsoft office 2007 and it has accepted the product key. When I try to use the email it asks for the product key again but this time does not recognise it. I dont know why please help

Here is what I found to work. Key in your Product key again and activate it. Close Office without doing anything else..

Open a command prompt / Run as Administrator. Key in one of the scripts below (x86 for 32 bit computers and x64 for 64bit).

c:\>cscript "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\ospp.vbs" /act

c:\>cscript "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\ospp.vbs" /act

Key this in and press enter.
c:\>reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\officesoftwareprotectionplatform /v USEROPERATIONS /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

Now open Office Check if it is activated.

You have to install a new one, either you download it from the net or you get an original microsoft office suite from a licenced microsoft dealer and instal it on your computer to get the microsoft word.

I have office 2007 but i dont have the product key because i bought it with the installation without any product key please need help

Is your office product installed? If so, we may be able to use a program to find the product code.
If it is not installed, you have a re-install disk only. without a product license, you will not be able to successfully load the program onto your computer. If it came in a case of some kind, check it closely for a product key.

Error message when you try to install a 2007 Office program: "Microsoft Office <Product_Name> 2007 encountered an error during setup. Error 1714"

To work around this issue, use the Add or Remove Programs feature in Control Panel to uninstall the earlier version of Office. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.
  2. In the Currently installed programs list, click the Office program that you want to remove, and then click Remove.
  3. In the Add or Remove Programs dialog box, click Yes.
After the earlier version of the Office program is uninstalled, then install the 2007 Office program.

I lost my product key . i have microsoft office 2007 profesnal.what can i do for activetion ?

Here is, how you can get your key back.

To obtain a new product key for your Office program in the United States, call 1-800-936-5700 and speak to a Microsoft customer service representative. Outside of the United States, call the number that appears in the activation wizard.
When you call Microsoft for a new Office product key, have the following items available for the customer service representative:
  • The product CD-ROM
  • The computer on which you want to install Office
  • The readable parts of your original product key (if available)
  • The ProductID information in the registry

Does this laptop have microsoft office and microsoft word i dont no if it does i am not that good with computers

Left click your Start button on your desktop. You should be able to see either "Programs" or "All Programs". When you choose that menu you should see a number of menus that will show you what you have on your computer. If you have Microsoft Office installed there will be a menu called "Microsoft Office". When you move your mouse to that menu it will show you which parts of the Microsoft Office program you have installed.
