Hello, Well i think you can, because on my printer i've tried it and it worked for me. All you have to do is try it, but i know is not going to affect your printer in any way.(

I need to know where the ink cartridge goes on my x6575 what cartridge goes where

1.Turn on the printer.
2. Open the printer by grasping the printer's top lid, to the left of the control panel and just below the scanner cover ,( approx. 1 inch ) to expose the ink cartridges.
3.Press down on the cartridge carrier levers.
4.Remove the tape from the black print cartridge, insert it in the left cartridge carrier and close the lid.
5. Remove the tape from the color print cartridge, insert it in the right cartridge carrier and close the lid.
6. Close the printer.

Your ink cartridges are installed.

Lexmark x6575 - i work off a mac message reads : The cartridge carrier is jammed. Check under the scanner unit for obstructions. Close the unit and press the Check button on the control panel. Delete or...

Clear the print buffer, unplug the printer, remove everything that could be jamming the printer, CHECK carefully, then plug the printer back on and see if it has cleared. You may have to restrt the computer to reset the print buffer. Hope it helps.

How do i access the cartridge

Here's an article in the Lexmark website to guide you on how to access/change/replace the ink cartridges in the printer. Since you did not post the exact model number of your Lexmark printer (e.g. Lexmark X6575, Z2420, etc.), I'll show you the general steps. Just click on the link: http://bit.ly/cqxhVx . The printer shown on the page may not look like your printer, however, the steps are the same.

Lexmark x6575 I want to disable the wireless function

Hi,
you can take out the white box where the black antenna is behind the printer. It's the wireless network adapter of the printer. It might be hard but it can be pulled out off the printer. Hope this helps.

Problem with inkjet indicator

sometimes the ink level report does not reflect the true picture. what you should do is see whether it is printing faded or not printing blank. If printin normal you really shouldn't worry. If it were not printing I would suggest you returned it but that is not the case.

Lexmark x6575 printer error message clear paper jam

Success and relief at last!

Thanks to Dinky on another web site who had the same problem with his Lexmark X6575 printer (a similar printer). The resolution of the problem once I had read Dinky's explanation took less than 30 seconds!

Dinky's exact words on the issue are as follows:

" Dinky commented 5 months ago
Hooray!!!...after lots of hours trying to fix my printers 'Paper Jam' message, even tho' there was no paper jam in my lexmark x6575, but the message refused to go away...I have finally got it to work!!!...

WHAT I DID......
There is a long silver metal bar that the ink cartridges run along. Well just underneath this there is 8 little roller feet that sit on top of another silver/cream roller. Well in between these, in the very centre, you will see a little black plastic nib like thingy...While the machine is turned on, press this little black thingy (best to use a pen or something like, as it's small) and what should happen is the silver/cream roller will make a quick rolling motion....Hey! presto the 'jam message' disappears and the lcdmag-glass_10x10.gif screen should show set-up options (like date, time, ect).

I hope these instructions are clear enough to follow, and I also hope this solves that dreaded 'Paper Jam' message for you all....Good Luck!
Regards, Dinky "
