This is a sign of a lack of the luminance signal which may denote a problem with the chromanance signal ariving fast to the screen then the Luminance signal this is video problem. You will need to have a qualified TV technician look at this.

Okay, all you have to do is right click on your desktop and click personalize then click desktop backround. Then select your picture and down near the bottom there will be flowers with the options of, Tile, Fit to screen or Normal. Click Fit To Screen. There you go :D.

Wide screen mode won't go back to "normal".

Was exactly what you said. The cable box settings were in wide mode. Couldn't figure it out at all. Funny thing was too.. on my cable box remote, the button under the #9 button is the # button.. it doesn't say zoom at all.. but it totally controls the zoom.

So thanks for that.. AND thanks for saying "under the #9 on the cable remote" instead of just saying .. the zoom button.

Thanks again!!!

Picture is too big for screen

You will have a button on the _original_ remote that says Format, Aspect Ratio, Zoom, Size or just AR. It will cycle through Normal, Stretch, Partial Zoom, Zoom, Gray Bar, or the like. You are not in Normal but in one of the Zooms. Stretch is used to make 4x3 movies fill a 16x9 screen, may not be desirable. Zoom is used to fill the 16x9 screen with movies that have been letter boxed. Gray Bar fills the sides of a 4x3 picture on a 16x9 set with gray to "avoid" burn in. Use normal except zoom on LB. -Ken

It sounds like you accidentally enabled a zoom feature or something similar.

Most remote controls should have a clearly labeled "zoom" button or a "picture size" option. If not, go into your TV's menu and look for something zoom related.

If this doesn't work, just go ahead and toy around in your TV's menu. I strongly suggest writing down the default settings so you can go back to them if you screw something up.

Good luck!
