The A.F.U.E. rating on the G20 series is a paltry 77%. Compared to 94% A.F.U.E. on the high efficient models.

Hope this answered your question. If it did, I'd appreciate you rating my response.

I installed a new thermostat on my hvac system and the heat is not working anymore.

On that thermostat there is an R and an RC wire connection, the R is the power wire for heat and RC is the power wire for cooling. If you connected the power wire (normally red in color) to the RC only the fan control and AC control will work, there has to be a jumper wire between the R and RC terminals (assuming there is only one control transformer) for both the heat and cool functions to work.

Side by side divider is very hot

The divider you speak of needs to be warm in order to prevent condensation from forming there. Old refrigerators used an electric heater to do this, which of course uses energy. Newer refrigerators use a loop of tubing from the condensor to warm this area with waste heat (removed from the refrig during the cooling of the inside process), thus making them more energy effecient. The only draw back is they only heat when the compressor runs, so they can get quite warm during compressor run time. This is all normal and designed, so don't worry about it.

How do I clean a flame sensor on a 1993 Lennox Whisper Heat furnace. It heats, then the gas valve clicks and the flame briefly stops and starts again then the valve clicks again and the flame briefly stops...

You can sand the flame sensor but it sounds like another problem. Sounds like a limit switch or something in the control circuit, You need to have a service tech look at this. Ask for free estimate on repair. I have worked on hundreds of these units and they are sometimes tricky to work on. Lenox has come up with new controls for the whisper heat furnace to replace the old ones. If the flame sensor is bad the unit will try to light a few times and lock out and you ahve to kull power to the furnace to reset. If this is whats happening clean the sensor nd you should be ok If not you need help from a service tech.Rus
