Your set does not have a lamp in it. You have a CRT projection that uses 3 tubes.

I need help. My Sony 50 inch tv is a 2006. The warranty ran out in June 2010. I heard a pop and then it shut off. Now the green light flashes 25 times and turns to the red lamp light. I can't reference...

Pop sound was broken lamp in tv, replace lamp to solve tv issue.
Please recheck model number as KDF-50EA10 seems invalid/ incorrect model number and nearest match is KDF-E50A10
If model number is KDF-E50A10 then required lamp part number is as follows...
F93087500 ... LAMP BLOCK ASSY XL-2400
and available with Sony Accessories Store for $200
Let me know if you have addition question or tv model number is other than above said (KDF-E50A10).

My hitachi tv went out a few days ago and it shows it needs a new lamp how do i know the model or what lamp to get?

The model indicated here does not use a lamp. Model number will be clearly marked on back of set on a label along with year the set was made.

Presuming it another model that uses a lamp, with model number use your computer and Google the model number with the word lamp and you will find dozens of places that sell them; compare warranty and price before you buy.

The sets that use a lamp are designed for the lamp to be "customer replaceable" and usual life on a lamp is about 2,000 hours of total use, some last longer and some less.

If you have questions let me know here.

The tv i have is an 52 inch big screen. The model number is 50hmx96, the serial number is 30405011,and finally the lamp number is y66lmp and that is where my problem comes in, i was watchting the tv and...

Looking at the back of the TV the lamp door is on the bottom left. Loosen the one screw holding it on. Remove the lamp door. Inside is the lamp unit. Loosen the two screws on the left of the lamp unit. Grab the handle on the lamp unit and pull it straight out. You may want to vacuum the dust (and glass) off at this point. Slide the new lamp unit straight into TV until it's fully seated. Tighten the two screws on the lamp unit. Re-install the door and tighten the screw. Lightweight gloves are recommended for this procedure.

My lamp light is on and the tv says that I need to change the lamp (to get a better picture) I believe the part number is 31419SN984A . Can you tell me where can I buy a new lamp and is it diffcult to... has the lamp you need for $248.94, the part number you gave 31419sn984a is correct. It is a bulb only you have to remove the lamp door then unscrew the lamp and pull it out of the set, then you must dismantle the housing and replace the bulb then put it back in the set and replace the door.
