please note- The fault occured before water go into the washing maching!! as soon as any program (drying, washing program, spining, draining ,ect) start the first 10 seconds the faults come up-I would appriciate a urgent solution.

please let me know if you require any more details.

  • ilan241 Apr 06, 2011

Thank for your reply. As I have stated in my privious comment as soon as the machine start to work on any program including DRY PROGRAM ONLY OR,SPINNING ONLY ,AND PUMPIMG OUT,OR any other WASHING PROGRAM within the first 10 seconds of the machine start working the fault indicator comes up as folowing- the LIGHT next to the spinning symbol is LIT (5TH LIGHT FROM THE LEFT ) and the red light next to 2 drops (7th FROM THE LEFT) symbol is BLINKING.

    We have tried the folowing-

unpluged the machine for 8 hours.

First 10 seconds water goes in on washing program.

On draining only program it work also for 10 seconds

I hope my comments are clear enough

IMPORTANT-Can you please explain the meaning of the above(2) faults indicators display and its reference as each fault indicator has a different meaning!!

please do let me know if you need more details.

Please see attached photo indicating the faults light.

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. The water drops are to do with the water level in the washing machine. Have you tried unplugging the machine yet? Also, what is the washer doing? Every detail you can provide is needed please.

OK there. Decided to check one more time before I left and saw you replied. The indicators is to do with the spin and water level. Are you able to check some things?

Do you have your manual? The lights are on because of bad parts. They will need checked.

You will need to check the belts, basket drive, water level switch to begin. These are what caused the lights to come on.

Hi

The issue seems with the water not draining completely and so it is unable to work correctly. The issue can be with the either the motor that is bad or something is clogged and you will have to take the bottom front panel out to clean it. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Bosch advantixx washer drier drier only runs 5 mins then switches off

The likely answer is the motor is overheating and the auto cut-off switch activates. If you wait a while it will then start up and repeat.
The answer will probably have to be a replacement motor, but a qulified engineer may find he can clean up the motor contacts and get it running - but that may cost same or more than a new motor!

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
If you have already cleaned the vent then the problem is with the Thermal fuse. When the thermal fuse goes bad it cannot be reset and replacing it is recommended repair. It is located on the blower wheel housing inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct. You can test it for continuity before replacing. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
If you haven't already tried this I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my complete guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------

If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play!

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

Bosch classixx 6 1200 express is showing a key symbol in the LED - when I switch on the washing time goes back to 0 and the alert sounds and I cant start the wash I dont know how to switch the key...

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

The Key symbol means the lock has been activated some how.

On most bosch of your class this is how you work it on & off.

Here`s how to deactivate it...

1) Press the "menu" button until you see "CHILD LOCK :ON" appear in the display. ( if nothing is pressed within 10 sec.following this the menu will close and it will default to program in the display )

2) Once you see what I just mentioned in the display press the "select" button until "CHILD LOCK :OFF" appears in the display.

3) Finally by pressing the "start/pause" button the key symbol should disappear confirming you have successfully exited the child lock program.

Let me know if this was helpful to you or not, if so please take a second and rate it accordingly.

Thank you for visiting "fixya" for your washer solution inquiry.

good luck going forward.

Red L.E.D light won't stop flashing

Shaving head check indication After two years of use the red shaving unit symbol î will flash for 30 seconds during 7 shaves to indicate that you should check the condition of the shaving heads. This indication is based on an average shaving time of 3 minutes per shave. When the shaving head symbol flashes, all other symbols and lights are out. When the shaver is switched off, the shaving unit symbol disappears. When the red shaving unit symbol starts flashing, you should check the shaving heads for possible damage. If the shaving heads are damaged in any way, they must be replaced in order to obtain optimal shaving results
