Turn off power to the printer and unplug the unit. Allow it to cool at least 30 minutes before starting any work on the machine. Put on latex gloves before handling the roller. Open the door to the area housing the toner cartridge. Remove the cartridge and set it aside. Find the roller. There should be black bushing at the left side of the roller near the gears. Pinch the tabs on the black bushing and lift the roller out of the printer. Set it aside. Insert the new roller by pinching the black bushing tabs and sliding the roller into position until it snaps into place. Once in position, release the tabs and tug gently to be certain it is securely in place.
