How do you tension remington electric chain saw

The most common would likely be by releasing the chain/blade assembly lock nuts (likely to be two) on the outside of and at the the drive end of the chain, or by first removing a cover over this part of the chain assembly to access these nuts. Next, there could be a tensioner screw assembly located between the inner side of the the saw blade and the motor or possibly at the back of the chain/blade assembly. Screwing this screw in the appropriate direction will tension the blade. After all slack is taken up on the chain (without over-tightening or stressing the chain!), re-tighten the two previously loosened lock nuts that secure the blade in place and replace the cover, if removed. This would most likely be the process for fitting a new chain as well!

Dewalt how to take apart

Remove the 3 screws holding the foot on and remove it.
Slide the insulator and blade clamp lever off exposing the gearcase.
At this point you can remove the gearcase from the handle and can access the entire tool.
Removing the gear assembly will require removing the nut (#18) at the front of the gearcase (under a plastic cover) (best done with a 13mm socket on an impact driver) then removing the blade clamp assembly allowing the mechanism to slide out.

Can't find my owners manual. How do I change the blade. Bolt hits on a guard that covers the arbor. On a DW713 combination saw.

Removing the Blade
1. Unplug the saw.
2. Raise the arm to the upper position and raise the lower guard as far as possible.
3. Loosen, but do not remove guard bracket screw until the bracket can be raised far
enough to access the blade screw. Lower guard will remain raised due to the position
of the guard bracket screw.
4. Depress the spindle lock button (Fig. 3) while carefully rotating the saw blade by hand
until the lock engages
5. Keeping the button depressed, use the other hand and
the wrench provided to loosen the blade screw. (Turn
clockwise, left-hand threads.)
6. Remove the blade screw, outer blade clamp, and
blade. The inner blade clamp may be left on the
spindle.
Installing a Blade
1. Unplug the saw.
2. With the arm raised, the lower guard held open and the
guard bracket, place the blade on the spindle against
the inner blade clamp with the teeth at the bottom of
the blade pointing toward the back of the saw.
3. Assemble the outer blade clamp onto the spindle.
4. Install the blade screw and, engaging the spindle lock,
tighten the screw firmly with wrench provided. (Turn
counterclockwise, left-hand threads.)
5. Return the guard bracket to its original position and
firmly tighten the guard bracket screw to hold bracket
in place.
WARNING:
• The guard bracket must be returned
to its original position and the
screw tightened before activating
the saw.
• Failure to do so may allow the guard
to contact the spinning saw blade
resulting in damage to the saw and
severe personal injury

How do I remove the blade and reinstall a new blade in my Navigator saw. Thanks.

Before you can mount a new blade onto your black and decker navigator you must make sure the holding pin, (the flat side of the oval part) is paralell to the bottom of the saw. If it is not push the black button that pushes the pin out as hard as you can and with a small wrench move it into the proper position. Mount you blade @ 90 degrees and push it up into position

I need to replace the blades on a Sears Scroll saw. Model # 149236160

Your scroll saw should have come with Hex end tools to use when changing out the blade. You must release the tension on the blade (located on top of arm above blade). There is a small allen head screw which has to be loosened with an allen wrench to release the blade. There is also an allen head screw under the working surface which will have to be loosened to remove blade at the bottom. Replace blade at the bottom 1st, tighten up then go to the top, tighten it, then reset the tension and you're ready to saw again. Make sure to get a visual on the directions of the blade teeth before you remove it so you can replace the new one the same way. I hope this is helpful.

Boot on the saw.

You are probably wanting to repair/replace the blade holding assembly. The boot does come off with persistence. You will have to remove the foot piece first (two screws). Try using long thin screwdrivers as shoe horns and be persistent. I agree that it is a poor design. Why the new improved blade lock assembly I'll never know. The nib breaks off that fits into the hole in the blade and then there is nothing to hold the blade. If all else fails to get the boot off you can cut it and order another boot. Remarkably, the boot isn't that expense. Unless you feel you can make a replacement pin you'll have to order the entire blade lock assembly and it cost about $20. I had the reciprocating saw for a tear before I used it and the holder broke on it first outing! Being loyal to Craftsman in the past, I hate to admit that these days many of the power tools are cheaply made Chinese junk. My advice, don't spend much to repair, cut your losses and buy DeWalt, Skill, etc. Hope this helps.
