Question about Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar

1 Answer

New LP Studio. Fine on its own (well buzzes a little but acceptably), but pick it up - touch it - it buzzes like hell, as I increase the amp volume the noise gets worse. Pl help. Allan.

Replace the guitar cable with a better quality one and keep the guitar away from devices generating magnet fields like amps, etc.

Am getting a bad buzzing noise from my laney lc15

Bad connection? Loose fittings? I used to get a crackle from my amp when I turned the volume or balance knobs. A quick spray of WD 40 down the shaft after removing the knobs fixed it.

Buzz coming from elec. guitar pickups only when using Aviom and headphones

It is a definite pickup grounding issue causing hum/"buzz" which diminishes when touching strings. Check the impedance of cable jack inputs and cable which should be 1/4"mono input/output jacks) . A personal preference but effective is to NOT run guitar direct into mixer but through an external amp w/ a headphone out jack . Noise gating/preamp filter also will help eliminate the "buzz"/noise from pickups. It is unfortunately the nature of the "electro-magnetic" beast when it comes to electric guitar pickups .Hope this helps.

Behringer K3000FX Ultratone Keyboard Amplifier from day 1 has had a slight buzz

For a start , check headphones out.

• if it don't work , check power supply of the preamps.

• If it is OK, could probably the main amp have fail.

But check the main volume .

There is a noticeable ringing sound only when I strum any note on the E string , any other string sounds fine.

If the ringing only occurs with a specific range of notes it may be something rattling in the amp loose or speaker enclosure.
It could also be feedback occurring at certain frequencies - does the ringing stop if you turn the volume down a bit or stand in a different position in relation to the amp?
Could be a problem with your guitar? Maybe the pick up height needs adjusting in relation to the E string or is it the string buzzing against a fret - indicating a need for adjusting the bridge height or trussrod settings?

My bass buzzes when im trying to record. I plug it straight into the back of my 8 track and it buzzes. When I touch the metal conection were the jack goes or touch the jack the buzzing stops. This is also...

The cause is a lack of proper earth grounding in the 8 track so your jack-lead is acting like a radio aerial. The solution is simple - buy a Direct Injection (DI) box to place between the guitar and recorder.

My amp and cable are working... but my guitar wont make sound... when i turn up the amp it makes white noise... HELP!!!

PLUG YOUR LEAD INTO AMP TURN UP JUST A LITTLE SEE IF IT BUZZES WHEN YOU TOUCH THE END OF YOUR CABLE.IF IT BUZZES THEN THE FAULT IS IN YOUR GUITAR MOST LIKELY THE ACTIVE WIRE HAS COME OFF THE INTERNAL GUITAR PLUG.

MG100HDFX Amp - crunch setting seems too loud

There are 2 channels, Which means there are 2 sets of knobs ... One for clean and one for crunch. Start out with a low master volume and set up the crunch, Then the clen and switch between the 2 and make adjustments until they match volume wise ... Then turn the master up.
