I do think it might be the lid switch. it "feels different " when I close the lid. it fills with water, but when it is supposed to begin aggitation it won't start. I have checked breakers first, and looked for a reset button, opned up looking for loose wires etc, how do I get to the lid switch and make repair? thanks, Kathy

I also believe it may be lid switch- it feels different than usual, it fill with water, but then stops when I close the lid. it won't begin the aggitation process. I have checked breaker box, and opened up the machine looking for loose wires etc. where and how do i access the lid switch- and what do I do with it.? thanks-Kathy

Hello, Welcome to FixYa. I can't seem to access any previous post dialog that may have taken place but I'd like to help if you can fill me in on whats taken place to this point. The scenario you describe is usually associated with a faulty or broke lid switch...but I don't know if you checked that yet or if you know how. I'll wait for you reply to see whats been done or suggested and checked to this point. Regards, Macmarkus :)

    Hello again,

The lid switch failure is definately a common top load washer problem. Here`s how you can repair it pretty easily...

( this is based on the most common Whirlpool, Estate, Kitchen-Aid, Roper, Kenmore, Inglis top-load washer, not necessarily applicable to ALL...but it should cover yours)

Here`s a helpful link for changing it out,

    http://videos.wittysparks.com/id/3098139...

The lid switch will look like this...

Let me know how you make out. If this is something you think is not within' your scope of expertise please call a pro. I think you'll be fine with the tutorial video'

I will try to help in any manner I can of course as well. Good luck.

Thank you for choosing FixYa. Please take a moment to rate the info I provided and a short testimony is appreciated.

    Regards,

    Macmarkus :)

Beko WMP652W washing machine will start cycle but get stuck at end of wash, doesnt go onto rinse or spin any help please?

see the next steps and use the common sense: God bless you
When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem: It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer. It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

Washing machine won't fill. i filled it by hand with water, it won't agitate either, only spins.

The inlet solenoid is probably bad. And it won't agitate unless it fills and stops filling automatically.

Agitator starts before water fills. When adjusting

There may actually be more than one setting on the diaphragm control, or you may two diaphragms each with their own setting control. I hope this helps you! Good luck!
