Hi this sounds like there is a spot of dirt in tne fuel system
you will need to dismantle the carburettor which is quite straight forward (be careful not to lose any screws or gaskets
guive the carburettor a good rinse in neat petrol/gasoline and blow out any debris that may be there.
re assemble the carburettor and prime with fuel and you should then be ok.
One other thought if you have found that the motor runs fine without being on the grass (eg it doesn't cut out after a minute or two) then it could be that you have the cutting blades set too low for your first cut. To raise the blade adjust the height of the wheels. Always start cutting with a high setting especially if the lawn hasn't been cut for a while.
hope this helps

Hello my name is Heath it will be my pleasure to assist you. If the pto will not engage first check the fuse for the pto if the fuse is good then check the bolts in the pto they are notorious for coming loose and causing problems. If the bolts are tight and the fuse is not blown then you may have a bad pto but if there is no power to the pto then its probably the fuse.
