I am having a convergence issue with my Panasonic Rear Projection Television. Is this something I can repair myself? If I did hire someone to fix this for me, about how much would this cost?

I am the right person to talk to.

If convergence problem total parts cost on EBAY would be under 25 dollars AND I HAVE START TO FINISH, STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE DO IT YOURSELF PERSON TO DO THIS REPAIR.

THE instructions tell everything you will need and the best way to get at the two STK-392-110 CHIPS THAT NEED TO BE REPLACED.

Repair involves getting at and replacing both chips, it does involve being able to solder--not hard on this set.

If you want the instructions here or provide a email I will if you rate this solution very helpful give them to you for free, they are based on my actual experience doing hundreds of these sets with this problem.

See attached photos of what the chips look like and what a typical convergence problem looks like.

Typical convergence problem; no two will look exactly the same.

I had a power outage and the timer light will not stop blinking. How do I fix this. Email: trueskholar@hotmail.com

Your dm module needs to be replaced. But because it's a part that is no longer available you must find a tv repair shop that will rebuilt it or already have a chassis available that has the dm module already rebuilt.

Mitsubishi WS-65513 light blinking

If the light continuously blinks, there are four(4) caps, 10000upf @ 35v that are bad on the DM board. The board is on the right side of the chassis, looking from back, the caps will be swollen on the top. The repair is more cost effective then replacing the board.

The DM board is the one with the digital connectors on the back panel. If you already have it appart, you may as well check the caps on all of the boards. The caps that go bad are typically Jamicon brand caps in 1000 uF and 330 uF values. There are also a couple of 3300 uF caps in the PS that cause problems.
