Try this:

1. Turn off the Handycam
2. Remove the battery from the Handycam.
3. Remove the AC Power Adapter from the Handycam.
4. Move the Handycam power switch to the ON position.
Note: Leave the switch in the ON position for at least 15 seconds.
5. Move the Handycam power switch to the OFF position.
6. Connect the AC Power Adapter to the Handycam.
7. Turn on the Handycam.

Good luck!

useless..the camera needs a part or parts to resolve this issue.Common complaint on this model..get real !!!

If you would have specified that the problem was indeed a hardware/physical issue then I wouldn't have posted it. Next time be more clear on your questions. Oh and if you're certain it's a hardware issue, then you need to take it up with Sony.

    Get real.

Sony dcr-pc9 troubleshooting cassette wont eject

This is an error between the bidectional circuit and the motor or the gear.it will be difficult to fix if you're not qualified for. Take off the battery and Try to remove the cassette cover tray with a small screwdriver by rolling down the motor gear which is close to the reading-head.But be careful for not breaking anything. when you have done place the battery back in.

How do I convert or transfer movies from a video cassette to a digital format using the Sony DCR-PC9 camera?

There are 2 ways,
Connect your DCR-PC9 with computer via iLink/ DV/ IEEE1394 (all are same thing) cable and transfer digital movie data in computer. (DCR-PC9 is digital camcorder)
Or connect your camera with DVD Recorder and burn DVD.
Thanks.

According to the symptom and self diagnostic system the problem is in mechanical section (tape loading section) Therefore camera just need mechanical adjustment and will work fine again. This problem aries when the insertion of the cassette is improper or forced insertion.

Error code! C:2100 what does that mean

Many have found smacking it fixed the problem. I myself have been doing this nonsense for years. until now ...No need to smack your Sony :) A more permanent and simple solution is to clean the dew sensor with a q-tip and alcohol. Kid you not, I've been "hitting" and abusing my sony in public for over 2 years ... until i found this simple fix.

The take up spool is not working upon ejecting. I would take it to a Sony Service Centre for service.

Download moving images to computer for duplication to dvd.

You will need to have a firewire cable at the very least. Then if you have a more Windows XP (or higher) PC equipped with an ieee1394 hardware or an apple computer ... you're all set to capture video from PC9 to other format like youtube or DVD.
