Putting door back on but hinge wont release to put back on

Hi Susan, this is AP! Thank you for your post.

I understand you are having trouble putting the door back on your Frigidaire wall oven. Without knowing exactly how you removed the door I cannot say with certainty how to reattach the door. However, when removing the door did you pull up the lock located on both hinge supports and engage it in the hinge lever hooks? You might have had to apply a little downward pressure on the door to pull the locks fully over the hinge lever hooks. Then grab the door by the sides and pull the bottom of the door up and toward you to disengage the hinge supports. If so, then to reattached the door grab the door by the sides; place the hinge supports in the hinge slots. Open the door to the fully opened position. Disengage the lock from the hinge lever hooks on both sides. Make sure the hinge supports are fully engaged before unlocking the hinge levers. Then close the oven door. There are instructions with images to remove and replace the oven door in the owner's manual. I hope this information proves helpful for you.

I need to replace the hinge receptacles on a Jenn-air wall oven (WW30430PC). How do I access those parts?

The only way to replace the hinge receptacles is to pull the oven out of the opening. If you need parts you can get them on the link below. Also if you call the link below they will walk you through on how to replace.

Reattaching oven door to a whirlpool electric non built-in range- came out easy enough but the instructions in the manual say to insert both hanger arms into the door... don't have a clue what a hanger arm...

Try putting the hinges in the broil position. That's just slightly open at the top in the first detent. Line up the hinge arms with the slots in the side of the door and push the door down on them. You may not be pushing the door all the way onto the hinge arms. Don't be afraid to give the door a good push.

I have preloaded the replacement hinge, but it appears that to remove the old hinge it must be unloaded. If that is true, how do you load the new hinge while it is on the door?

Ovens come in many varieties including freestanding units and stacked models that are inserted into a wall. Kitchen oven units that get a lot of use or are getting old may have problems develop, such as a loose or squeaky door which may require replacing the hinges. You can replace the hinges on the door to your oven by first removing the door from the rest of the oven.
jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); }); Difficulty: Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • Screwdriver
  1. Step 1 Open the oven door and examine the hinges to see how the they are secured to the door. Some oven doors slide into the hinge assembly or have a locking mechanism that secures the door to a latch on the main unit.
  2. Step 2 Remove the door from the oven by disengaging the locking mechanism and then pull the oven door out. You may need to release a catch on the door or remove a pin from a hole in the hinge.
  3. Step 3 Place the door on a flat surface such as a table or the floor.
  4. Step 4 Remove the screws that hold the sections of the door together to access the hinges.
  5. Step 5 Remove the hinges from the door. The hinges may be attached to the door with screws or they may be held in place when the door sections are tightened or secured.
  6. Step 6 Insert the new hinges into the door and secure them with the screwdriver or place the section of door back on. Tighten all of the screws securing the sections together.
  7. Step 7 Place the oven door back into place by sliding it on the same way that it came off.

Need to remove the front cover of the oven door on my Whirlpool Gold range in order to reattach the door handle. How do I do that?

DEPENDING ON THE MODEL. THERE SHOULD BE LOCKS ON THE HINGES SO YOU CAN LOCK THEM IN POSITION. THEN LIFT THE DOOR OFF THE RANGE THERE ARE FOUR SCREWS UNDER THE DOOR HOLDING THE GLASS AND A STRIP ON. REMOVE THE STRIP AND GLASS .

How to reattach door onto stove

pull the tips of the hinges down with a reg. pair of pliers until they stay in position. take the door and there should be a slot on each side where the hinge goes in. position 1 side and start it then teeter the door to start into the other slot. make sure it looks even on both sides then give a good push and the hinge guides should go all the way into the door and you are done...you might have to try a couple times. but, with these instructions you will get it good luck and let me know how you do goodday//

Door will not reattach

This is often a two person job. Both hinges should stay in a slightly open position so that the door can be slid down onto them. It may take one person lining things up and the other person wielding the door. If I was nearby I would come and give you a hand.
