Question about E-Novations Emperium Hospitality Point of Sale Software

Open Question

I am trying to get an EPOS system with Emperium Hospitality to work. Here is my config: 2 systems, 1 with Emperium back end & front end software installed & the other with just the front end. 1 SQL Database which is located on the system with the backend software installed. 2 PDA's which both have the emperium PDA software installed. 2 Star printers (1 USB to main system & 1 Ethernet through router) I have them all running through a local network with static IP's which are running through a router (wireless & ethernet). The PDA's have the Ap setting file set to the IP Address of the system with the SQL Server installed. I had a problem in that the whole system was working perfectly apart from the PDA's couldn't print once an order was "sent". I called customer support at e-nnovations and they decided to try and fix the problem but ended up stopping the PDA's from being able to load the Emperium Software. The error: "Check Wireless" keeps popping up. I had this problem before but it was just a tweak in the router to allow the MAC Addresses of the PDA's access to the system with the SQL Database. I tried what I did before with no results. E-novations (the software supplier) will not provide me with the SQL Database password as they set it up so I cannot change anything in that respect but I can everywhere else. What am I doing wrong? I've been trying this for over 2 weeks now and every time I fix everything theres one little bug which I ask the support team to fix and they go ahead and break something else.

What is the default password for cisco

There are two main methods to return a Cisco router to its original factory defaults. These two methods are described below.
Method 1
1. uses the config-register 0x2102 command in global configuration mode.
2. Check the configuration register on the router by issuing the show version command.
3. The configuration register setting is displayed in the last line of the show version command output and should be set to 0x2102. If this is not the case, enter the config-register 0x2102 command once in global configuration mode.
router#configure terminal
router(config)#config-register 0x2102
router(config)#end
router#
4. If the show version command is issued again, the same line in the command output will have '(will be 0x2102 at next reload)' appended to the current register setting.
5. Erase the current start-up configuration on the router with the write erase command.
Reload the router with the reload command. When prompted to save the configuration, DO NOT save.
router#reload
System configuration has been modified. Save? [yes/no]: n
Proceed with reload? [confirm]
Once the router reloads, the System Configuration Dialog appears.
--- System Configuration Dialog ---
Would you like to enter the initial configuration dialog? [yes/no]:
The router is now reset to the original factory defaults.
Method 2
1. uses the config-register 0x2142 command in global configuration mode.
2. Enter the config-register 0x2142 command in global configuration mode.
router(config)#config-register 0x2142
This causes the router to ignore the start-up configuration on the next reload. If a show version is issued, the last line in the command output will have '(will be 0x2142 at next reload)' appended to the current configuration register setting.
3. Reload the router using the reload command in enable mode. It is not necessary to save when prompted to save the system configuration.
router#reload
System configuration has been modified. Save? [yes/no]: n
Proceed with reload? [confirm]
After the router has reloaded, the System Configuration Dialog appears.
4. Enter no to the question "Would you like to enter initial configuration dialog?"
5. Change the configuration register setting to 0x2102 by entering the config-register 0x2102 command once in global configuration mode.
6. Issue the write memory command in enable mode to overwrite the existing start-up configuration with the current running configuration.
7. Reload the router with the reload command in enable mode.
Once the router reloads, the System configuration Dialog appears.
--- System Configuration Dialog ---
Would you like to enter the initial configuration dialog? [yes/no]:
The router is now reset to the original factory defaults.
Note: The configurations below are stored in ROMMON, and cannot be reset to Factory Default Settings by the write erase or config-register 0x2142 commands.

RHEL 5.3 fails to boot at "bringing up interface"

I found the solution.
Take in accunt that I'm a total newbie on Linux boxes.

1 - Previous to any change, following RH deployment guide, I backed up the network config on a file called "network-config-10.1.1.5" with:
"system-config-network-cmd -e > /root/network-config-10.1.1.5"

2 - After the Server refuses to complete boot sequence, I rebooted the server and entered on interactive mode pressing "I" just after RHEL splash.

3 - Then I accept all options with "Y" but "Bring up interface bond0".
Then hit "C" to complete boot sequence.

4 - Login normally as root and revert the changes with:
"system-config-network-cmd -i -c -f /root/network-config-10.1.1.5"

5 - Reboot the server and all return to normal.

E1705 laptop--tried to install a XP 3 pack, but it wouldn't install. Now can't get into windows even in safe mode. The driver comes up as a problem, but I don't know how to delete it from the system...

Hi,

Since you are not able to boot to normal mode or safe mode, you have a couple of options available, one is a repair install of windows (may fix but risk of data loss) , second is a manual system restore listed below.
To perform system restore in the Recovery console
Step 1: Boot the system with the CD (Tap F12 while booting and select boot from CD)
Step 2: At "Welcome to setup screen" Press R
Step 3: Select the appropriate path for windows and press enter
If it asks you for the administrator password, type the known password and press enter or just hit enter

Step 4: We will now see the Prompt c:\windows
Step 5: type cd ..
Step 6: type cd system~1\_resto~1 and press Enter
Step 7: If "access denied"
Step 8: type cd windows\system32\config and enter
Step 9: Type ren system system.bak and enter
Step 10: restart the computer and get back to recovery
console (follow step 1 - 5)
Step 11: type cd system~1\_resto~1 and press Enter
Step 12: type dir
it will list you restore points

                        (e.g. RP1, RP2, RP3, RP4, etc...)

Step 13: select the one from the list except the last one say RP4
Step 14: type cd RP3 (or RP2 or RP1 or RPn) and enter
Step 15: type cd snapshot and enter
Step 16: type copy _registry_user_.default c:\windows\system32\config\.default and enter
Step 17: type copy _registry_machine_security c:\windows\system32\config\security and enter
Step 18: type copy _registry_machine_software c:\windows\system32\config\software and enter
Step 19: type copy _registry_machine_system c:\windows\system32\config\system and enter
Step 20: type copy _registry_machine_sam c:\windows\system32\config\sam and enter
step 21: type cd \
Step 22: type cd windows\system32\config and enter
Step 23: type ren system.bak system and enter
Step 24: type exit and enter
Step 25: the computer restarts and the system will be
successfully restored
