Question about KitchenAid KSB560 5 Speed Blender

1 Answer

I have a new KA blender. After washing I am not able to get the pitcher back into the locking collar to allow the couplers to fully engage. I have done it several times and it is just not working. I believe I am following the directions...I am getting very frustrated.

Please make sure the collar is on a firm flat surface (not on the blender). Check the silicon gasket is evenly placed in its groove in the middle of the collar. Lower the glass jar onto the collar lining up the gaps on the collar with the glass keys on the side of the jar. Holding the collar in one hand, twist the glass jar clockwise to lock into place. If this doesn't work it sounds like something is jamming the mechanism underneath.

Kitchenaid KSB655C5 blender locking collar doesn't go down on one side when assembled. Both sides of locking collar are away and symmetrical when off the jar.

I would say pull it apart again and fiddle about with it a bit paying some attention to that spring loaded ring that's causing you grief. I don't have one here to look at but I know I've seen that problem before and it's something to do with that ring underneath needing to be turned to a certain position so that it engages properly. There are some notches in it that need to be in a p[articular position. We never saw that version for too long, the following model had a plastic beaker without all that rubbish on the bottom.

I bought a new interlocking collar for my Kitchenaid blender, and now it doesn't seem to be fitting on the base properly. It's resting on the base rather than going all the way down, if that makes sense....

Remove the collar from the jug and have a good look inside, there is a circular ring inside the collar that needs to engage correctly with a glass finger on the jug. The glass finger goes between 2 plastic fingers. I think there are two of them. It was a silly idea that's been given the flick on later models.

The power light on the Ninja Blender flashes and will not turn on.

Make sure the pitcher lid is assembled properly aligning the arrow on the lid with the arrow on the handle. Press down firmly on the handle until you hear a slight click to ensure it is fully engaged. The Ninja will not run if the lid is not assembled correctly & the handle is not fully engaged.

Check to see if the jar has any cracks or if the blade assembly or collar have any cracks.
Is it possibly leaking from the tap valve?
If the blades or tap lever are cracked I would recommend replacing them, however if the jar is cracked i would just buy a new blender. These are great for smoothies but they are all discontinued and parts wont be available for much longer.

My ninja blender won't start

Same thing happened to me and I ONLY used the thing 2xs (I was about to go H.A.M aka hard as a muthaF'er considering the price) then I tried the smaller cup size and it worked then went back to the larger pitcher and tried again. You have to ensure you have all the lock spots aligned and the top of the pitcher down securely. It worked after that...I also smelled like I was burning rubber at first but it works now...

How to remove the cutters on model ksb560mco pctag@verizon.net

The cutters are part of the collar itself and not available as a separate part. If there is anything wrong with them you need to replace the whole collar. The collars are available on Amazon UK, K A Parts as well as other places.

I actually have the pitcher, it comes w/the chigger and the blade that connects to the bottom of it.

this part is brand new, let me know if you still need one.
