Question about Sparkle Power 400-Watt Power Supply

1 Answer

NO Signal Greetings, My computer has died. When I try to re-boot; my moniter indicates that there is "no signal". This computer is a home-made system w/dual drives- a monster. All fans run except the one on the power source: a Sparkle Power Model# FSP400-60GN. Any ideas... Thanks Rick

I suspect that your power supply may have overheated if its fan is not working properly try another power supply

My signal keeps going especially wen im inside also my 3g is almost never there

I have the same problem. I live in a trailer park. When i am in a trailer (mobile home) most of which are covered in metal... my signal fades to nothing unless i am near a window. I have the same problem in masonry block buildings like where i live in the maintenance building. Those signals work better when tall buildings are nearby for the signals to bounce off of.

Make sure that you have the monitor plugged into your video card if you have one (usually a horizontal port), and not your motherboard(usually a vertical port).
If it's not a plug issue, then if you press F8 repeatedly while the computer is starting, Windows will give you a boot menu, select the option "Enable VGA Mode" and windows will revert the resolution to a more common one, and will allow you to reset the resolution to one that your video processor can handle.

you need min 250w power supply with the right connector.
do not try to splice any of the power wire. it will work but you will get burn later.

Computer Won't Power Up

If the blinking amber LED is on the computer itself and not the monitor, this is most likely a power supply issue. First thing to try would be replace the power supply. If the blinking led is on the monitor, it probably has bad capacitors and needs to be replaced. (or repaired)
