Put some spray lube on it or oil at the pivot and that should take care of it. Make sure the switch is making good and clean ,might want to spray that as well. Try and do a dry lube cause liquid lubes attract dirt.

My Creative Sensation Pro II keeps on sewing when I take my foot off the pedal. Nothing I do will stop it, except holding down the scissor button

It is likely your foot pedal controls are stuck. Either they need repaired or you need to make an investment in another foot control.

How to get the back off if it. My machine stitches slower and slower. Need to find out what is wrong

Sounds like your motor is going out. Engage your bobbin winder, and make sure the needle isn't moving. Push the foot pedal all the way down and listen to the motor. It should be a steady sound. If it sounds like it's struggling, your motor is going bad. Your foot pedal can also be an issue.

Motor runs unaided, have to turn off power to stop it

Is the foot pedal not returning to the off position? Try disconnecting the foot pedal. If the machine stops running, then your problem is in the foot pedal. If it keeps running, then your control board is bad.

Sewing machine stops sews a minute slows down or stops then starts up

I suggest having the machine checked at a sewing machine shop
to see if there is something wrong with the motor, or the foot pedal
but first check to make sure the power cord & foot pedal are
connected correctly

My Husqvarna Emerald continuse to stitch after I release the foot pedal. Although the stitching is at a greatly reduced speed it won't stop unless I turn the machine off.

It sounds like the food pedal is sticking. I have had this happen only to find that the pedal had drifted under my mobile thread drawer and was unable to lift up when I took my foot off it - yikes - looked like a ghost was operating my machine! However, it you are sure the foot pedal is not stuck under a piece of furniture, perhaps the spring inside is not decompressing completely. It needs to be checked. I am not that familiar with the Emerlad models - do they have a Stop/Start button on the machine itself? If yes, perhaps this button is stuck in a little? Check that also.

My husqvarna sewing machine has started sewing by itself when I plug it in and turn it on. I can't stop it sewing by itself. How do I stop this I've checked all buttons and plugs

does the foot pedal plug into the machine by itself? if so unplug the foot pedal & then turn on the machine, if it doesn't run by it's self then you know it's the foot pedal.
but if it still has the problem check the foot pedal for a circuit board

No foot pedal for machine

If you have a start/stop button, yes you can use that instead of a foot pedal. Most viking designer models use a common foot pedal, so you might be able to find a used one.

Machine keeps sewing after foot pedal is off

there is something stuck in the pedal causing the electric circuit to connect, perhaps some thread or a pin.
unplug it from the machine and see if you can unloose it from under the panel.
