Unfortunately it sound like your bootloader is corrupt and at the momemt the only solution is to return your STB under warranty.

My Technika freeveiw hd box keeps going to standby could it be because it is turned off every night, does it need a perminant power supply?

freeview boxes generally update around 3am every night so yes you maybe correct as to the cause of it going into standby. It has to go into standby to update itself, same as when windows cant update because files are in use. try leaving it in standby at night and see if that resolves the issue

I have the same problem - please help as no Cebbies!

Just got through to Samsung support. Turns out the freeview card had frozen and needed a reset. To do this put tv on standby. then press in serries these buttons on the remote: 'info' 'menu' 'mute' 'power' TV will then turn on with a default screen. Press 'arrow down' button untill you reach option 12 'reset' . then push the 'right arrow' and tv will reset and start in plug and play mode and commence a scan when you've set the time. Just retuned mine and its back to normal. Hoorah!!! :-)

I have a technika lcd19dvdid307 tv and a universal remote. How do O re tune for new digital channels? I have lost the original remote. Thank you, kellyanne

I think the point he is making is that he only has a universal remote - not the original, so the problem isn't not being able to find the channels, but not being able to select the retune option in the first place. I have same problem - the remotes that shipped with this TV were rubbish (I have gone through 2!) and some buttons stop working. The retune / setup memu is seperate to the other basic set-up stuff and many universal remotes don't have theis 'other' button. Best solution, get a replacement remote that is MADE to work with this TV then you can auto-tune to your hearts content.

Resetting my TECHNIKA STB9007LE Freeview Receiver

Hi there

It appears that somebody at Technika thought it would be a wonderful wheeze to the box ask for a PIN when retuned. My daughter had the brainwave of putting in four zeros and voila!!!

Hope that solves your problem

Sound problem on Technika LCD19-907

The retuning process is as follows:

  1. Press the [i+] or MENU button on the remote control to display the DIGITAL INFO menu.
  2. Press the BLUE button to display the MAIN MENU.
  3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to highlight AUTO TUNING then press the OK button to display the AUTO TUNING MENU.
  4. Press the RED button to start the auto tuning process for all available digital channels.
  5. Wait for the process to complete.

If you wish to CANCEL the auto tuning process whilst it is processing then press the BLUE button at any time.

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information

If the above process does not work then check the link above for additional information and also visit the accompanying site links below to find more information for your model of TV / FREEVIEW box.
