Hello,
Based on these numbers there is no way to determine the age or the size of the equipment.
Sorry! James

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT TONNAGE IS FOR MY ARMSTRONG AC UNIT. THE MODEL NUMBER IS SCU10A42A-2A

If you look in the manual it will give you the BTU, simply divide that number by 12,000. Example: 24000 BTU = 2 Ton.

Need to know what the tonnage is of this Armstrong condenser???? Model #SB36SA-3D Serial #8494J18426

Making an educated guess here: 36 in SB36SA indicates 3 tons.
A ton is 12,000 BTU's 3X12 = 36 answer 3 tons

Need to know how many tons this AC unit is

To find out the tonnage, I would need to see the model number. If you can go to the out door unit and write down the number or look for this in the numbers and letters. There are 12,000 btu's per ton of cooling. I don't know if you have a central unit or a window unit, but look for numbers like this. 018, is a 11/2 ton, 024 a 2 ton, 030 a 21/2 ton, 036 a 3 ton, 042 a 31/2 ton, 048, a 4 ton, they don't make a 41/2 ton, and it go's to 060 a 5 ton. This is the largest for a residential that is made. From there they make units for commercial buildings that start at 71/2 tons up to 350 ton's on 10,000' warehouses for wine storage and so on. This is larger then a train box car. You may want to write this down and keep it as most people have no idea how to tell, and now you do. Please don't forget to rate me as I know you will be kind. Let me know if you need my help for any thing.
Sincerely,

How many tons is my condensor with model number 10aja6001?

Hello
Find the btus, 6000 btu is 1 ton. So 12000 is 2 tons.

Most home central units are 3 to 4 tons.

How do i find coil size for a armstrong central air unit

Are you asking what indoor coil size you need to match your outdoor unit? If so the model number of the outdoor unit will have a number divisible by 12. example an 036 is a 3Ton a-c an o42 is a 3 1/2 Ton. Probably the numbers right after UAMB.
