ServeRAID-7k Controller SCSI Controller error code 2807

This could be an issue with the Raid backplane. If under warranty I would replace the backplane.
Even if no warranty you might be able to find one cheaply used.

replace the raid card with battery. problem will resolve 100%

Did you also get "error 2807-01 Controller Onboard detected an internal error error 2200
CPPRHTS1&1 FAIL DATA: 035-253-001-20100309-58-RAID"?

Get a 71P8644. I've had two servers fail identically as above. Solid fixes.

Or use a Search Engine if your server/symptom differ.

I found the same problem with you and found the solution. Open your server casing and try to locate a battery attached to RAID memory. On my case the battery swollen and make the card bent. For the more detail i wrote on http://hubpages.com/hub/IBM-error-code-2807

First, buy an external storage device, at least 80GB (although it's currently difficult to find any _smaller_ size!) and make a file-by-file, folder-by-folder, backup of your 73GB of "data".

Second, buy another external storage device, and do a Google-search for "drive image freeware".
Pick one of those applications, and do a "image" backup to this second external storage device.

Third, disconnect the 3 "old" drives, carefully label them, and set them aside.

Fourth, connect the 3 "new" drives, delete the old RAID-5 array definition,
and create a new RAID-5 array definition.

Fifth, do an "image restore" from the second external storage device to the new array.

If you have any problems, all you need to do to "back-out" is to:
* disconnect the "new" drives
* reconnect the "old" drives
* delete the "new" array definition
* redefine the "old" array definition

and you're back to the "old" configuration.

Have you updated the raid controller firmware? 7.12.13 is the latest, search ibm.com for migr-62540

You need to use download, boot from and use the ServeRAID Support CD and the RAID controller tools on that disc. You cannot modify RAID controller features on the 7k while it is operational and/or in use.
