Tv continues to turn off and the timer, lamp and standby/temp lamp flash on the power button

I have had the same problem. According to the manual, the combination of lights meant the lamp cover was removed (I had done this about a month before this problem statred to occur!).

Someone on a site stated they had the same issues and with thiers the screws had worked themselves loose. There is a microswitch behind the cover apparently that wasn't having enough pressure applied to it making the TV think the cover was off. It says that he just tightened up the screws and it's been fine since.

Must a flaw in the manufacturing for this to be happening to others as well.

I'm going to try it to hopefully save on getting a repair man out - hope this helps!

Samsung DLP Flashing Lights

Make sure lamp is in correctly and as far as the color wheel: The ribbon cable from it to the DMD box only has connections on one side where it plugs in---it is possible to put it in backwards and set will detect wheel is not working..............

No picture no sound lamp light and standy / temp light flashing

Two things to look at---------the lamp to see if shattered inside AND with it removed look where it faces at the color wheel--see attached photo.

Look to see if any segments are broken, missing etc. Many of the wheels fail in this way and some will have a high pitched or even fan like sound before they fail.

Some when really bad will make a grinding noise also. The set monitors the speed of the wheel and if it slows or stops the set will almost instantly turn the lamp off(if possible watch from area where lamp is to see if at turn on to see if it for a moment lights or not.

Samsung HL-T6756 DLP TV Standby/temp light flashing and tv won't come on. I have replaced the lamp and the fan is working. Any suggestions?

Remove lamp and inspect the color wheel to see if missing pieces or shattered---it will also just before failing give a high pitched or fan like sound and if running too slow or not at all instant shutdown happens.

Its also possible if you bought a GENERIC bulb--and used original cartridge the new lamp is bad.

Burned out lamp?

First. Turn on the set and see if the Lamp Illuminates, If so then you have a bad Color Wheel. If the Lamp does not light up, you have a bad lamp.
Take out the lamp and look to the center of the lamp. If you see broken glass inside you have a bad lamp.
