Garmin Streetpilot C530 is locked up and can't even be turned off.

What size and type of SD card is being used?
The Garmin StreetPilot C530 will not support SD cards larger than 2GB or SDHC cards.

It will be either on the bottome or on the back. It is only eight digits long.

you will have to ask the previous owner for the lock code. if he doesn't know it, get you money back from him. the only way to unlock a garmin is to know which location the code was first programmed in or by sending it back to garmin with proof of purchase. this is an anti-theft feature.

I don't think there is one.  I had to buy an $80.00 CD-ROM for mine.

No, it is not possible to configure the unit to do something it is not designed to do. The text to speech feature utilizes a computerized voice with pre-programmed street names. Your unit does not contain this programming.

Same here..the phone support sucks.. i am on hold right now for 20 mins and i am not sure if they have an answer!!

There is no way to just "reset" the PIN. If you don't have the correct PIN, you must take the unit to the location at which the PIN was set. Your only other option is to return the unit to Garmin.
