If you're experiencing dead display, it is often caused by a dried up and leaked capacitor causing the display to fail. You can check the capacitors if they were good by unsoldering and test the continuity using a digital multimeter. If you can't do it yourself, I recommend to contact an authorized repairman to prevent further damage on the unit.

When buttons are not working most of the time it is due to a short in the touch pad or the electronic control in a unit you would have to call for service if you did not know how to use a multimeter to perform ohms and continuity testing and measureing of both pieces. Usually though due to the button not working most of the time it is the touch pad though. If you have any further questions message me back Thanks again
